Just finished the first three episodes in a binge watch and while it has potential I don’t think it’s been written cohesively enough to feel strong enough out of the gate.

Kim Cattrall is wonderful and I wish they’d let her do more of the ‘dream sequence’ dialogue because I think the writing for Margaret is too restrained.

The false note for me is Ginger. The focus on her and her mother just doesn’t work - or feels overemphasized at this point. It doesn’t make sense how she is on such equal footing with Margaret.

Overall, it’s an uneven vehicle and the problems are down to the writing.

What amazes me are the comments on the Variety article praising the show. I’m glad people enjoyed it but I struggled to get on board and still don’t enjoy it.

And I love Kim Cattrall, so this one stings.

I really wanted to love this but I found myself easily distracted while watching. I dig the televangelist premise (I grew up watching the Bakkers and the Crouches, still watch the Swaggarts)... this show could have been a lot more gripping.

I watched the first episode when it aired and never went back to it. I'm just over this type of show and that it's supposed to be what a "soap" is these days. It's just not the same.

I thought it worked fairly well as a mini-series, even if they did obviously keep some things open for season 2.

I still have the last 2 episodes to watch. I have no intention to do so. It was a sloppy, rushed, uneven mess. A typical modern day primetime soap that burns through storyline WAYYYY too quickly.
