I always wondered who was a closeted actor on the soaps. I saw a "most eligible" magazine post from 1977 in the archives. I know Val Dufour, George Reinholt, as well as sadly many of the male actors from the soaps who died young(less than 60) due to complications from AIDS circa 1983-1997ish. Any others. This is not to invade people's privacy. It's a different world now.

 

Nic Robuck (James Ford, OLTL) is out as well.

I have heard that the late Magaret Barker and also Terry Crawford of Dark Shadows were lesbians.

Not surprised at all by any of the more recent actors who have come out (when I say that I just mean in the public spectrum they're living out and proud; I have no doubt they've been out for a long long time, lol). My signal pinged on them long before they were public. I knew Bennett was playing for my team the minute I saw him in 2001 and PAS always was on my radar. Most of the guys who've come out over the years haven't been at all a surprise to me (hi, Matt Bomer), lol.

 

I guess Brent Weber surprised me a bit but it really doesn't.

His bf is hotter than him. I thought VH was cute during his ATWT time but I don't find him as attractive like I use to. 

 

And how could I forget Matt Bomer. He just screams gay.

 

As for Thom Bierdz....he was so adorable on Y&R but now he grosses me out.

I've read that for the last 15 years or so, but the speculation might have been around even longer than that. Besides, at this point in her life (retired, and turning 80 next summer), she may not feel the need to be open publicly.

 

There were articles way back in the 70's of how independent Ms Flannery knew her way around a toolshed....

 

Of course, there's another Days lady that we might include in this list and a long time GH actor...
