There was a lot of douchiness in Salem today lol some of which was intentional, some of which was unintentional.
Joy/Alex were the best example of this, to me. She was clearly meant to be the bad guy today but at the same time, I still think her actions make some sense based on everything that’s she going through right now. And when comparing that to RSW’s acting style (douchiness) I can’t help but still be on her side in this whole mess. He did look hot at the beginning though 😉😂😂
I just think that Joy needs a friend to talk to about why she does the things that she does, that way we would get a better understanding of her actions. Her storyline should be a lot more layered and dynamic, rather than her just trying to be with Alex. And I also still her actions would make a lot more sense if they, and her surgery, were the result of Stephanie actually shooting her.
But I’m still liking the way things are being built up. Theo was another character who came off as unintentionally douchy today lol but I’m glad that Stephanie was there to basically get him out of that funk. Hopefully, they’ll realize that they need each other soon 😉
And I wouldn’t mind if Roman or Abe had a bigger part in the whole Stefano mystery. It was nice to see Marlena catching up with them. I still hope she ends up in Italy at some point, especially since this is now all being tied to her past, and one of the times that she was being held on Stefano’s island.
And while Johnny being EJ’s lapdog was the wrong choice for his character, I enjoyed the conversation that he had with Marlena today about loyalty. I would love it if she ends up being the one who gets Johnny to see the light again, like he did last year lol
Btw, I really hope they don’t drag out Lexie’s memorial the same way they dragged out Stefano’s memorial and will reading. Paula/Jeanne seem to be following the sweeps formula a little too much, and they really shouldn’t.
