Members Wendy
Yeah, he was first played by Wesley Eure in the '70s (I was born then but have read the history) and even married his first wife in that decade, who died of cancer. Then Eure left and Mike took a breather - and returned in the form of Michael T. Weiss (best known now from The Pretender) and had a story with being involved in an interfaith romance with a fellow doctor named Robin, who was Jewish. (They had a son together, Jeremy.) This was in the '80s. Then Weiss left for that prime time career and Mike was again off canvas for a time and, when he returned once more in the mid '90s, he was played by Roarke Critchlow and young enough to now be a peer with - and involved with - Carrie Brady. Who was a teen to Weiss' Mike in the '80s. So...yeah.
Members Skylover
I guess it sometimes makes sense if they SORAS characters too soon and later regret it. That's why SORAS is generally a bad thing I guess.
Members Paul Raven
Paul Coufos was the Mike between Eure and Weiss. He presented as older than Eure. Eure was dropped because he was gay.

victoria foxton
Most US daytime soap opera episodes broadcast before 1978 have been lost. The status of episodes, however, varies widely from show to show: A few scattered episodes, mostly black and white kinescopes, of these series exist from the 1950s, 1960s, and early to mid-1970s
Members Skylover
Thanks Please register in order to view this content Have there ever been repeat runs of Days on any stations, starting from the beginning?
victoria foxton
No American soaps have never done that. Unlike British soaps like Crossroads and Coronation Street which have aired reruns over the years. I've heard that Days, GH and The Doctors have all their episodes. Members Skylover
Oh., I'm surprised they've never aired re-runs!
victoria foxton
I forgot all about the now defunct basic cable channel Soapnet. Which aired same day episodes of AMC, OLTL, GH and Days. It also aired reruns of an AW. Plus once in a bluemoon they would air classic reruns. I can't believe i forgot about Soapnet Sorry.
Members Skylover
That's ok, did they air some 60s Days episodes on Soapnet?
victoria foxton
No they didn't. They aired some from the 1980's . Please excuse my bad memory . It's very early in the morning. Also Retro TV has been airing The Doctors reruns for a couple of years now.
Members Skylover
Cool thanks Please register in order to view this content Still trying to work out some of the family relationships on Days. So Brady Black is the son of Isabella Toscano who is the daughter of Victor Kiriakis. Sonny is the son of Justin Kiriakis who is Victor's nephew. Who are Justin's parents? I can't find out on Wikipedia. Kayla is Roman's sister and therefore aunt to Sami, Eric & Carrie, and great aunt to Will. John and Marlena are grandparents to Claire (though we never see them with her) as she is Belle's daughter. Oh and Brady and Paul are Claire's uncles. Though they never interact. Sonny and Brady are basically second cousins. Jennifer is the daughter of Bill Horton who is Addie's brother so Julie and Hope are Jennifer's cousins. So JJ and Abi are second cousins once removed to Eli(?), and they are also second cousins to Ciara. Tripp is related to no-one except his father Steve. Difficult to grasp all those family connections
victoria foxton
Justin's parents died in a car accident offscreen. When Justin was a small child. Vic raised his nephew. The Horton family tree is very complex. Plus on top of that over the last 30 yrs all the core families have intermarriage. For example Will is both a Horton and a Brady.
