Tom Petty, Rock Iconoclast Who Led the Heartbreakers, Dead at 66

 

I don't know what to think, other than I hope his life can be spared. I'd prefer that story to the previous one.

Every media outlet has retracted their tweets. Out of a respect for his current medical status being unconfirmed, I've decided to change the header to critical condition.

So sad. His manager confirmed his passing.

 

I was more of an R&B kid until grunge introduced me to rock growing up, but he really was part of the soundtrack of my childhood.
