So I take it the show hasn't decided on what Neil and Devon's company will be. This doesn't bode well. It's haphazardly put together and is screaming plot point.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but Nick appears to have put this together rather quickly. I missed some eppies so what did Nick use to piece this together?

Exactly. That's why running CI would be far more logical.

I'm currently at a loss why Neil and Ashley aren't an item. It has made sense for some time now. Especially since winters interact so heavily with Abbots now. But it's being ignored for this unimpressive odd ashley/Ravi story

I like that Ravi has a crush on Ashley, but there's not enough chemistry there for it to turn into a full blown romance.  Nor is it there with Ravi/Phyllis.  Ravi would do better I think with Mariah or Abby (only if he's not still carrying a torch for her mom).  Hell, try him with Jill if he's only into older women.  But once they started turning Ash into "seeing him differently" after he wore a tux, it doesn't work.  That thing works best as a crush/infatuation/fantasy for Ravi and nothing more.

I love the idea of Neil/Ashley.

I missed a few too.  But IA, it seems like he's put this together out of nowhere.

The pacing is still not improving.  What happened after February?!?  It almost seems like they have no idea what stories to tell week to week or how to structure them.  They have not played Chloe for months.  This would have been much more dramatic if we would have seen her.  They could have thrown her in a couple episodes once a week to keep the story bubbling until this "revelation" of Nick's.

I actually want to like Jordan, but the show is giving me no reason to invest in him.  @ajsp35801 IA that the Hilary/Jordan and Devon/Mariah scenes were very lightweight.  If they want to drive story with those pairings, the writers are gonna have to give us more than instasex and smiles over coffee.

Gloria today "Kevin is a good man".  What?!?!  :o

The show seems so...disjointed.

They already decided on the name, Hamilton Winters Inc. If it's a start up it would build over time.  Why is there a rush on what it will be? Newman and Chancellor really don't have a set thing to do, it changes as storylines change. I think it's screaming Sally is listening to fans. I've heard requests

for either Devon and/or Neil to have their own company for years.

I don't think so. Devon's not a Chancellor, and Neil's been there done that. Why work for Jill when they have the means to build their own company with their own names on it?

Jeez, it would really be nice if we could see Jill run CI for 5 minutes. We've waited 40 years. I thought this Fenmore's story would draw her, and CI, in, but I guess not today. Maybe when she returns in June? I hope so, we deserve at least one business storyline. Jess Walton is business Jill, and she finally owns the love of her life's (Phillip's) company.

What Sally missed in this Ring story is that Chancellor Industries should take on new meaning for Jill now. She's running the company of the only man she truly loved.   She should be calling her boys, encouraging them to come back and be involved in their father's/grandfather's company. Katherine was grooming Phillip 3 to take over, why can't he return? Have his relationship in Australia end so he can leave. Both he and Jill can mentor Chance. Or if we can only have one, just Chance , so Nina can at least visit. I don't care if there's a set. Do it from the mansion like Katherine did. There's so much more that they can do than have Jill admiring a ring on her finger.

CI has too much rooting value. The show wants to give them something they can end and have them lose on a dime and it not have historical context/meaning or larger consequences, i.e. Devon's record company and indigo.

If Devon isn't a Chancellor then neither is Jill.

The show had ample opportunity to build Devon and Mariah but never did. Instead they focused on Hilary/Mariah antics. Now weve get devon making the stupidest statements as in he and mariah are long time friends and have always been close. All I can think is they're not even close now and only met 4 months ago. The show had some chance to build hilary and Jordan but instead he was saving Lily. Yet, Hilary is sleeping with him out of the blue. They had to have known the story for this guy and his purpose, why not build more so Hilary doesn't look so pathetic. Why not have him save her.

Jill was a Chancellor. Phillip married her on his deathbed. She gave birth to the Chancellor heir.

Jill was a Chancellor by marriage just like Katherine.

Katherine's children & grandchildren have every right to the Chancellor estate as Jill's children & grandchildren.

Because Y&R hired him to fill Shemar's spot as The All Purpose Black Guy™.

Once Hevon reunite Y&R will throw him into a six month offscreen relationship with a single white female character in need of propping until her next serious relationship then he'll quietly be let go.
