I mean, it was an utterly fascinating umbrella story, pretty well written, drew in so many people and gave them so many great interactions, not to mention providing the show with story for yeeeeaaaaars BUT it was also decimating to the women involved, not to mention disgusting to keep hearing about Victor's sperm again and again.

You can't?

It REALLY doesn't need to be mentioned again. Ever.

Ashley barely made it out of the story.

What do you say? "There were a big Sperm battle?" No, let it be!

This was after they divorced. Diane was pissed that she could have had Victor's baby if they wanted it, despite his vasectomy.

Nope.

Nikki swapped the samples. By the time Diane was inseminated it was with Aunt Jack's swimmers instead of Victor's.

It was an umbrella story that (coupled with the Newman takeover) included almost every veteran character in various ways.

For instance a large part of Victor & Nikki's break up was due to Brad using info he got from sperm stealing Diane to woo Nikki while Diane chased Ramona off in hopes of reconciling with Victor which led Grambo getting close to a pregnant Ashley as Jack schemed with Leanna.

And that was just the first six months.

Both. Nikki wanted another baby with Victor (naturally & with his consent) but didn't want Diane to have Victor's child (via any means).
