Barbara Tarbuck , best known to daytime as "Miss" Jane Jacks has passed. She was 74.

 

BT  appeared in daytime on Love of Life (unknown character) and Santa Barbara (Sister Allegra).

 

In the early 80s, she was a primetime soap guest star.

think I'll just sit here and shake my head. 

I always liked her work on GH - understated and yet sharp too. Jax's parents were the best thing about him. 

She was another Golden Girls guest....she played Martha McDowell the next door neighbor.

Oh my goodness @Soapsuds now I know exactly who she was. May she RIP. 

 

 

I really adored her as Jax's mother. She and LW had really good chem as mother and future DIL.

OMG. I never connected her as Martha McDowell on GG. Damn I feel silly now! LOL.

 

I always liked her. I think they said Jax went to be with her because she was sick so if he ever returns again I wonder if they address the passing?
