I have the show on Blu Ray. I am assuming soon they will be released on DVD in color. Which I will more than likely pick up too.

I really don't mind the colorization though. It's not like the B&W versions are erased forever. I think it's neat to see Andy Griffith, Lucy and Dick Van Dyke in color.

They do a poor job of promoting them though. I guess if I saw this thread last month I would have known but I had no idea about DVD until I saw a commercial this week.

So what did you guys think?

Their living room was SO green! It was like walking into a Doublemint Gum commercial.

And WOW, that outfit on Laura when she goes to talk to Alan is about as close to Jackie as she ever got.

I loved it. I love the colors. And that blue kitchen! I absolutely love their house. The brick, the wood ... and the show holds up. It was absolutely hilarious. Timeless.

And Mary was gorgeous. I always appreciated Rob and Laura being equals. Such a good show. It's been far too long since I've watched.

The coloring in that video looks a tad ... off. It was a little bit better on the TV screen LOL but it gives you a good idea. I think they did a bit better job of making Lucy into color than DVD but I still liked it.

That clip is a reminder of how great the comedic timing was on that show. I got to read a script when I took a Writing for the Sitcom class when I was in school. We also saw a few episodes, B&W, of course.
