Maybe they will also tell why Elayne Heilveil was canned.

Members vetsoapfan
WHEN is this fine show going to get the full-series DVD release it has long deserved? I'd buy the boxset in a heartbeat.

Members vetsoapfan
@SoapDope, thank you so much for sharing this this link. I never would have even heard of it, let alone been able to watch and enjoy it, without your heads-up. This interviewer is much better than other hosts I've seen, and through perusing his channel, I see he's done many interviews with actors of yesteryear, whom I remember and would like to hear more about. I'm going to have fun with his celebrity talks. Gracias!
Members SoapDope
You are welcome. I just ran across it and wanted to share. Yes, he has done many interviews with actors from yesteryear. I see he recently did one with Leigh Taylor Young from Peyton Place etc...and one with Larry Wilcox from CHIPS.
Members vetsoapfan
Considering I'm more likely to binge on vintage series more than anything modern, his channel is just my up of tea.
Members chrisml
Is this show available anywhere?
Members Chris 2
Yes, it’s on Tubi. And the quality is good enough that you can see a picture of Nancy #2 (Jane Actman) on the piano in an episode that was reshot with Meredith Baxter Birney (Nancy #3).
Members Khan
Just pretend that was Nancy before the "corrective surgery," lol.

Members vetsoapfan
Alas, Family is geo-blocked on Tubi in my country. Please register in order to view this content There is a lot of interesting content on that streaming service; it just drives me crazy that Family, which I really want to see, is a series that ends up getting blocked.
Members Chris 2
This is from the last scene of the season 2 episode “Rites of Friendship”. It starts with Doug and Kate talking in the living room, with a picture of Jane Actman as Nancy on the piano behind Kate (I cropped and zoomed in). Later in the same scene, you see Meredith Baxter as Nancy with Buddy in the kitchen, and you can see through the door to Doug and and Kate still talking in the living room. The photo of Jane Actman is gone at that point. Please register in order to view this content
Members SoapDope
A new interview with Gary Frank, Elayne Heilveil, Carroll Newman (Frank's wife) from Family. Youtube would not let me embed the interview. Heilveil explains why she did not continue on the series. She said she would have liked to. She seems like a sweetheart. She say's it was her idea to have Nancy freak out in the car in the pilot episode with the windows rolled up. She also laughs that the Nancy character was explained to her " No one is going to like your character"....LOL She said she started out doing comedy, but when they discovered she could cry then she started getting those heavy dramatic roles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgOKR-YxFFg
Members Khan
IIRC, she even showed up years later on Y&R in a scene with (I think) Tracey E. Bregman.
