Mal Young has a lot of work to do. He needs to get rid of some actors who can't act. I wish he'd recast the Newman children to begin with.

She replied "No" when someone tweeted asking if the sacrilege to the Chancellor mansion set was done to simply see what the viewers reaction would be with the intention that it would be returned to normal. 

 

JFP GH'd that set and the reaction was overwhelmingly negative. I still don't know how they can fix the Newman Ranch set - some foliage and bigger windows would be a start.

 

Whatever happened to that Gothic style house that "Gabriel" and Sage once lived when Adam first returned to the Genoa City area?  They should've kept that and relocated the Newman ranch there.

 

I'm liking Mal from a production standpoint and obviously he is putting a lot of input into the writing as well, but I still maintain until the new headwriter is announced we can't be completely confident. I hope his headwriter fits as well as his production style seems to fit Y&R.

I had no idea they'd done all that to the house. I'm amazed CBS noticed or cared enough to step in at all - I don't think they'd give a [!@#$%^&*] about sets on the show. I have to assume they used it as a stalking horse to fire Jill.

 

Angelica McDaniel tweeted about the change to the Chancellor mansion in a less than flattering way...apparently she didn't know about it and wasn't pleased.

Probably she was feeling the backlash about it on twitter, it was an unnecessary change. JFP has to crap on everything good

It reminds of a 1990s prime time set. It's truly horrible. Honestly, the ranch is not essential - all the good stuff for the family happens at Newman Towers/Enterprises. The days of Nikki sitting around the ranch waiting for Victor to come home are long gone.
