November 26, 201510 yr Member Even worse, Pratt will do everything possible to make Devon and Hilary look like the villains in this situation for pushing Neil to such extreme measures.
November 26, 201510 yr Member I'm sorry but Neil is beyond repair after this story. They need to write him off. Love KSJ but Neil needs to join Dru in the afterlife.
November 26, 201510 yr Member Even worse, Pratt will do everything possible to make Devon and Hilary look like the villains in this situation for pushing Neil to such extreme measures. When Devon told Neil that what he'd done kidnapping Hilary and set him up for murder was no different than him having an affair behind Neil's back I hollered. Pratt will write anything. Its comical. I'm sorry but Neil is beyond repair after this story. They need to write him off. Love KSJ but Neil needs to join Dru in the afterlife. i don't think he's beyond repair. But Pratt should have allowed him to pay and go to jail for a short sentence at least. But blaming Devon and Hilary for it just digs Neil deeper.
November 26, 201510 yr Member Neil could be salvaged if they threw him into the business stories with his age appropriate peers. Enough of having him share love interests with Devon, its gross and he looks ridiculous hanging around nothing but his children and their families all the time like they're his contemporaries. November 26, 201510 yr Member The Newmans and Abbots have 3 generation of adult children to work and run their companies. Neil really doesn't fit their anymore unless he's tied to the families through marriage. What they need to do is just give Neil his own corporation to run and make him the third party businessman between Jack and Victor. After a hear or so recast Yolanda for him (cause there is no chance at Dru ever). Edited November 26, 201510 yr by ajsp35801
November 27, 201510 yr Member I don't why but I get a feeling that Pratt is the one writer who would actually think about recasting Dru. For some reason, I feel it in my bones that he will go forward with it and do the impossible. Yikes if I'm right.
November 27, 201510 yr Member He's probably talking to Garcelle Beauvais right now. Edited November 27, 201510 yr by Khan
November 27, 201510 yr Member I'd say an FOJ, but...??????? UpChuck would bring in Ann Marie Johnson as Olivia, Jasmine Guy as Dru, and then promptly drop them as fast as Rhonda on MP...
November 27, 201510 yr Member Wasn't the reason that VR's lawsuit was dropped was because she couldn't prove that they had a role on the show that she could be denied? It seems to me that having the Dru character recast proves her point.
November 27, 201510 yr Member Dru can stay dead. I like Jasmine Guy but no to that casting coup. And Neil fit in perfectly at Jabot more than he did at Newman. At least Jack respected him more. Dare I say it, but Neil could possibly be second in command at Chancellor behind Jill. I never saw why Cane was given that position at all. His ass needs to work from the mailroom up. But back to what I said before, I just don't see Neil being repaired after this mess. Maybe jail time will do it but with Pratt in charge, I just don't see it.
November 27, 201510 yr Member Katherine had Neil at Chancellor before, so I always thought he should have been there. With his "connection" to Jill through Cane, the two working together makes a lot of sense. Oh, and remember folks, Parsley is best used as a garnish, not the meal...
November 27, 201510 yr Member That Devon's money actually bought CI, it makes sense that Neil be there in a top position. I like this idea. But it seems that TPTB sees Y&R as a story about two rival families. Having Jill and Neil at CI doesn't jive with that creative vision. Neil working at Jabot only works when he's running his own separate subsidiary whose shown as equal to jack. Edited November 27, 201510 yr by ajsp35801
November 27, 201510 yr Member hahah, I still think Pratt would bring Dru on. He'd probably have her come on as some mystery woman and them BAM - nuDru. Knowing this regime, Hillary would probably have known she was alive somehow, making Hillary into a further villain.
November 27, 201510 yr Member Hilary isn't really painted as a villain though. She's just so in love with Neil and regrets hurting him. That's not villainous. Devon is the villain who deserves everything he gets, per Hilary. LOL
