Three years...nice! It's about time Genie was offered a contract that showed they want her for longer than just a sweeps period.

 

Now, the next question - can these new writers come up with at least one decent storyline for Laura in the next 3 years (or until cancellation...or until they're replaced by the next writer(s))?

Um, nope?

I wish we had better writers, because I would love to see Laura not paired with Luke or Scotty and still be a vital character.  Labine could do it.  Guza could too until we got to the Lucky is dead storyline.  They both gave her family, friends, down to earth and soapy material.  She used to have chemistry with nearly everyone she shared scenes with.

Jeanine P never meets with actors. At an event years ago the ATWT actors were shocked to see her they had never meet her.

bullshit.  They may in fact have story projections and wanted to keep her.  But she's staying put because it was a contract offer and her kids are all gone.  All she wanted since her coma return was to be offered a deal she felt she deserved.
