Umm yes... Thank you Toups for the ratings as always. I thought B&B's numbers would soar with the Steffy/Aly confrontation resulting in Aly's death, but the show only went up 14,000 viewers. I don't think killing off a legacy character generated the buzz Brad Bell was hoping for, ratings-wise. (I don't consider Aly a legacy character, but I've seen articles referring to her as that).

"Legacy character" is pretty much a meaningless term these days, especially on a show like B&B that moved away from its core a long time ago. It's the same reason why Brad Bell's horrific treatment of the Logans, including slaughter of Beth and Storm, didn't get a ratings boost.

Tony Geary's second to last episode only got a 1.99? How pathetic!!  Shows that the viewers of the show are sick of the Luke character.

I too was hoping B&B would get a jump for Aly's demise but it didn't.

Luke wasn't the problem.  The horrid writing for the character was his last hurrah's undoing.  Fluke for an entire year was junk that truly flopped.  Then the send off was a disjointed mess.  Quite embarrassing, actually.  Irrelevant folks randomly just popping up to give the illusion that history matters on this clusterfuck.  Not to mention, from what I hear, Craptini couldn't put the pets aside for one damn eppy to make this a good send off.  There were no flashbacks and Luke's final scene is with Scummy?!  Why tune in for that?

The show is getting so stale again. The whole Thomas/Caroline/Ridge story is already boring me. There is not one good story on anymore. Bradley just totally lost steam once Maya's story kicked in. Even Aly's story is badly written.
