Members Khan
We might have done this before, so, apologies for the rehash. What are some of your favorite actors from outside soaps (and yes, that means you can't include any who either have appeared on soaps or are working in soaps at the present...sorry, Vix)? Members Khan
Nah, you can include actors from yesteryear as well. They just can't be former/current soap actors.

Members DRW50
It's so hard to just not put an actor based on one role. For instance, I loved Rhoda (character, not show), and I think Valerie Harper is a brave, tough lady, but I'm not sure I've ever really been that into most of her non-Rhoda roles. The same goes for Chris Barrie - loved him on Red Dwarf, not sure I have any real opinion on him otherwise.

Members Khan
Believe me, if not for KNOTS, Julie Harris would be on my list. She has an incredible body of work outside of soaps.

Members DRW50
Of course I just proved I'm a hypocrite as I put two of my favorite Doctor Who actors on there for one role. Oh well. (Barbara Whinnery too, but then I did enjoy her cameo on Sunset Beach as a nun)
Members SFK
My holy trinity of female actors: Geraldine Page, Kim Stanley, and Sandy Dennis (Page and Dennis' soap stints were minor enough not to count, no one knows them as soap stars) Carroll O'Connor (probably the only male actor who has made me cry, multiple times, and in a comedic role... Redd Foxx was capable of the same)
Members quartermainefan
Jackie Gleason. If you can ever see the adoption "lost" episode of the Honeymooners it is worth seeing.
