ANOTHER PASSIONS MYSTERY

Passions head writer James E. Reilly must have a kinky thing for mysterious hooded figures. Last year, that white-cloaked lady skulking around Harmony was revealed to be Rachel, as played by General Hospital vet Sharon Wyatt. Coming up this spring, NBC says 16 characters will "travel to Rome searching for lost loves and priceless works of art." Their lives will be manipulated by an incognito monk, whose identity will first be revealed online at PassionsVendetta.com on June 1. Don't go there yet, though — the site will actually launch on March 14, offering twice-weekly video clips with clues as to who's under the hood this time.

Passions Red meets DaVinci Code, anyone?

I wish JER would wrap up some of his long standing mysteries before starting a new one.

I was intrigued by the stalking lady in white with red nails and I visited the PassionsRed website each week.The reveal of Rachel and the aftermath has been a bust though.

"Tell me Martin,Imagine yourself 30 years from now.Who will be sitting in that rocking chair beside you?" (paraphrased) Sheesh!

Rachel should have been the one to stab Alistair. Now she is a worthless prop to KMart.

and Im predicting the monk will be Antonio.

This sounds exciting.

I wonder if the show is going on location since it specifically says 16 characters?

Muigel looking for Charity, Sam looking for Grace and maybe Whitney decides to leave for a church in Rome and Chad comes looking for her?

As for the people searching for priceless works of art? No one on the show has ever shown any interest in the arts except Alistair and I'm betting he's the "monk." He probably had a body double replace him in his hospital room.

Passions Red meets DaVinci Code, anyone?

Yeah this does coincide with the release of the Davinci Code and JER likes to spoof movies. I loved PassionsRed and while Rachel was ok at first now she has no purpose. I love Wyatt though-hopefully once Al wakes up she will get something good to work with.

This does sound good though-although Passions has enough stuff they should be doing instead of yet another mystery. I think it will be Antonio too or maybe its the real Al and there is a fake one in the hospital. It could be Luis too but I doubt it since he will be back weel before then. Maybe its Charity in disguise-who knows its Passions after all. I would like to know who the 16 people are and whom or what they are looking for. The art part of it is intriguing too and I hope they go on location for this instead of just out on the backlot-this could be a huge boost for Passions in the spring and going into summer. I remember when they went to Paris when the show first started and that was very well done.

It does sound very mysterious and intriguing, but we all know how JER is at actually executing his MAJOR stories.

16 characters? Are there enough characters on the show? Hmm... lost loves I can get, but the priceless works of art? I would think that only Tabitha would want any interest in some ancient piece of art that has some kind of evil power, maybe Charity is searching for that too, which is why she's missing now

With the title Vendetta, it would make sense for it to be Antonio... or Grace...

speaking of Charity ... I was only half watching when Migs and Charity left in 2004, but why is Miguel not sure where she is, and why is she running from him?

I love the sound of this storyline, but I think it's too soon after Passions Red. JER should be putting this storyline onto Days of our Lives, with the eventual hidden character being Stefano or Kristen.

I'm loving Days devotion to character drama right now.

I know, I just meant that if JER was really intent on doing another mysterious figure storyline then he'd be better doing it on Days because Passions has JUST had one and it was a bit of a dud in the end. What exactly is Rachel's point on the canvas now as I havent really been following what's been happening except Kay/Fox.

Maybelline New York and Garnier Fructis Continue Their Relationship With NBC Daytime as "Passions Vendetta's" Presenting Sponsors

BURBANK, Calif. -– February 24, 2006 -- Following the tremendous success of the online event "Passions Red," NBC Daytime in collaboration with NBC.com will launch a new online campaign "Passions Vendetta" beginning on Tuesday, March 14. "Passions Vendetta" introduces a mysterious monk who manipulates and controls the destinies of 16 characters as they travel to Rome searching for lost loves and priceless works of art.

The serialized parallel narrative will unfold over 24 different two-minute video installments online for 12 weeks giving viewers added clues to the mystery, as it plays out on-air. The monk's identity will be revealed first online on June 1. New installments will be posted twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at a newly created website, www.PassionsVendetta.com, which can also be accessed through www.nbc.com/passions.

During the campaign, five hidden symbols will be inserted each week into various areas of PassionsVendetta.com. Users can click on the symbols and add them to their individual vault to unlock weekly treasures, such as bonus pictures, interviews, IM icons, desktop wallpaper and much more. Registered users who collect all the symbols will be entered into a drawing where winners will be chosen at random to receive a year's supply of Maybelline New York and Garnier Fructis products. PassionsVendetta.com is the first NBC site to use clickable video technology.
