Marcia Strassman (Julie) Welcome Back Kotter has died from cancer she was 66.

She was my favorite part of WBK. She was droll and yet likeable, and for all the backstage hostility she and Gabe Kaplan had at the time (they eventually realized they were being pitted against each other by higher-ups), they had good chemistry. I liked the little talks the characters had each episode.

A rough few years for that cast And a rough year for comedians in general.

She was also in the first Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

I'll miss her.

I haven't known much about her recent career, but she's one of the many faces of my childhood.....it saddens me once again that another life has been taken too soon!

A great actress. She was on Providence as Meredith, Jim's girlfriend and AMC as Lois KlingenSmith, IRS agent in the early 1980s. RIP

I remember her playing Dennis Farina's wife in a 90s movie, 'Another Stakeout,' that starred Rosie O'Donnell, Emilio Estevez and Richard Dreyfuss, and I will remember her so fondly.

At 66, that's just so young, way too many are leaving us.
