Administrator Toups Posted September 27, 2014 Author Administrator Share Posted September 27, 2014 Anyone know if there was a partial pre-emption on Friday?
Members Jeff
I know in Nevada, so guessing most of the west coast, there was a breaking news NFL conference between 12/12:30-1:00 PST... Thanks, as always, for the ratings.
Administrator Toups Posted September 27, 2014 Author Administrator Share Posted September 27, 2014 Ah right, the Goodell press conference was last Friday. So the American networks actually broke programing to air it? I'm surprised by that. Thank you.
Members JONNYSBRO
Omg how steady is GH. Rock solid ratings just phenom. It's been a September to remember. October should be killing it even more can't wait. Encouraging DAYS is finally going up
Members RavenWhitney
I think the headline should be "great week for GH" as they are holding on to better ratings even after the switch of timeslots in major markets and they are the only soap during that week that shows a 200K viewer increase over prior year. Days is still anemic.
Members DRW50
Losing ratings in spite of endless, breathless hype about being the greatest soap of the ages shouldn't warrant a "great week" headline.
Members JONNYSBRO
At least DAYS is going up. That's good. I think DAYS should make Broderick a co head writer for the show.
Members LoveDays
Ha! Those ratings are supposed to signify a Good Week! Get serious! Ok they gained some viewers for this week, but that constantly and consistently fluctuates and that's true of all four soaps! DAYS is my favorite soap but it's far from great or being the best soap on air. Personally I don't think any of them are at the moment. DAYS is very much unrecognizable! It's ashame of what the writers have done to great couples and even more ashame of the romances they keep trying to push that has either fell off because fans switched gears when they realized certain pairings/couples had much better chemistry and steam. Instead the writers went back to the very drivel of pairings where ratings declined and barely increased. There are story lines that still make no logical sense with poor structure and craft. There are recasts that are doing an okay job with the material they have but can't help but see them as their former character from another soap, stale boring romances trying to hard to exude chemistry and an entire waste of storyline of revenge which had finally given a character back her old edge to revert her to some weakling that has since lost its way. Again I love my soap DAYS, but this mess is just that mess! IMO
Members JONNYSBRO
I think Tomlin and Whitesell are disappointing me. As I said they would be smart to promote Lorraine. My choice would be again to add Jean P in the mix with maybe Janet Icabuzio as co head writers. DAYS needs writers committed to old school romance
Members DaytimeFan
You have absolutely no concept for commercially successful writing whatsoever. Please, just stop with this JP nonsense. You're trolling.

Members ChitHappens
I don't agree. They are up 219k viewers since last year, but down in the KEY demos across the board. No? So, can we assume the 219k are viewers no one gives a sh!t about?
Members JONNYSBRO
Oh please u just get upset the show is so stable and doing excellent. The demos actually went up from last week. Do u need your freaking eyeglasses?
