September 8, 201411 yr Member I'm watching the debut episode... it's good so far. The set is sort of ugly cute.
September 9, 201411 yr Author Member LOL I thought she showed more charisma and charm in the first ten minutes than Katie did in two years! lol It was an enjoyable premiere. Edited September 9, 201411 yr by YRBB
September 9, 201411 yr Author Member Episode 2. Meredith sure does cry a lot. Not too crazy about Seth Rogen as the guest for episode 2, even if he was there for a good cause. And the segment with scaring Mel B was way too awkward. http://www.medialifemagazine.com/hot-start-new-meredith-vieira-show/ That seems promising. Let's see if she can keep it up, in both ratings and content!
September 10, 201411 yr Member The set is hideous...but the show is good and Meredith is so likeable. I hope she succeeds.
September 10, 201411 yr Member I think she has a strong chance of surviving if only because she has a ton of goodwill from her stints on "The View," "Today," and "Millionaire." Katie Couric was just too awkward as a talk-show hostess.
September 11, 201411 yr Author Member Today's episode with Seth Myers, Little Boo (tears!) and Nick the Balloonatic was great. Meredith's "6-8 inches. I could make a joke but I'm not going to" was hilarious. She is a girl after my own heart. It felt like the show was in its fifth season, it was so natural and flowing.
September 14, 201411 yr Author Member Howie Mandel came off like SUCH a nasty prick on Friday. Even Meredith had to "jokingly" rein him in!
September 14, 201411 yr Member Howie Mandel came off like SUCH a nasty prick on Friday. Even Meredith had to "jokingly" rein him in! I put Howie's behaviour down to the death of Joan Rivers. Howie was incredibly close to her (she booked him for his debut on the Tonight Show when she was guest hosting after Johnny Carson's producers refused to let him on) and felt that he owed his career to her. I think Howie is not in a good place, mentally, and is sniping away.

But that doesn't explain why he's been a douche for 20+ years?
