I think it looks good. The premise is ridiculous but it could be good campy fun. TV these days has so many Mad Mens and not enough Melrose Places.

The CW and others channels are filled with campy shows. There's nothing wrong with good campy fun. But good campy fun shouldn't always mean playing up on tired stereotypes using outdated premises that make no sense.

I 100 % agree with you but unfortunately they won't stop. So I shall be on the ride for this one, and possibly only, season. If it gets a second. I will be so surprised.

I didn't mind it. It was a charming little premiere that I'm curious to see where it goes. Her grandma I can do without but I guess most families have a grandma like that. I want to see what happens when Jane finds out that guy is her dad. He has a horrible hair piece on and it really distracts me.

The same viewers who watched Ugly Betty years ago. Obviously. Similar background story (made from a Telenova), audience (Latinos) and everything.

They need the show for diversity and critical acclaim, and they won't get much better on Monday, most likely. Beauty and the Beast got about .3 in the main demo in that slot last season.

Star-Crossed was horrible but it also didn't have even close to half the promotion Jane the Virgin has had. The CW has been promoting this more than any other show this season. I've even seen more ads for this show than The Flash.

Ive seen ads for this on multiple channels. I saw a few banner ads on different websites leading up to the premiere. They had a spotify ad contest for this show.
