Wouldn't be so bad if those 2 idiots could manage the cast and tell stories. Did Marland throw in plots as he forsook character development and actual stories? Don't think so. When your best stuff is taking place off screen and your characters are unrecognizable, it's not a good idea to bring on more.

Also, why not spend that money on quality sets and some out door shots [and not the [!@#$%^&*] pier]? Instead, once a plot is done, they move on to the next and calculate how many new characters they will need for it. I guess we do have the luxury of moRon telling us on Twitter what didn't manage to come across onscreen.

The thing with a big cast is that it takes a brilliant, brilliant writer to manage it. Marland was a damn good writer and yet at some points in the early 90s ATWT was almost swallowed whole by way too many recurring characters (some of them even had the same first names and this confused the hell out of the cast). Lorraine Broderick - another very fine writer. Yet AMC in the late 80s was also broken into pieces by excessive cast.

Ron Carlivati is barely even a Leah Laiman, let alone Lorraine Brodrerick or Doug Marland.

Serena is in Michael's age group? I assumed they'd factor in SORAS and age her up to at least Lulu and Maxie's age group. Then again when rumors were going around about Christina being cast I was wondering why they were trying to make her Molly's age when she was born 5 years before her. And they are keeping Cam perpetually a little kid even though he's in a love triangle.

I put that more on the showrunners for bowing to her wishes, not her (and she certainly paid with the karmic destruction of her face...). I just liked the style of it. I do plan to change it soon.

I wish I knew how to make icons - there are some from old soap magazines I'd make.

I was mostly joking. The image of Donna smoking is actually a great one and the scene in the jail with her smoking was priceless.

I've always wondered how much was Lara's fault and how much was Kyle's fault because you could feel the tension toward the middle of season two in the few scenes Kyle and Sherilyn had, as well as in the scene of Windom's queens all gathered in the Roadhouse with the poem and Madchen had to physically be in between the two girls and neither Sherilyn or Lara could condescend to look at each other. So awkward.
