Id love gay roles to get just as complicated as their straight counterparts

However

I cant stand Felix

Brad has potential and I like him being flawed

However, Lucas who has the history to GH, seems to be all about getting dick. Its all about his sexuality at least so far.

Yes I know its early but nothing RC has done at GH so far gives me confidence thats all These three will be about is the fact that they are all gay.

They all can and should be so much more

I wish there was a wider diversity among gay characters but sadly if they were to add a 4th gay character you can bet that there would be vocal if small segment of the audience that will go on message boards claiming the show is turning into QAF.

I may be naive but i choose to see everything going on as something that would happen to any straight characters on the canvas.

It has all the making of a boy-meets-girl story but with two guys instead. (I choose to refuse to aknowledge fey's existence until further notice)

Totally irrelevent to the discussion but ok

Why must one prevent the other?

Oh i just thought of something how about tika sumpter playing a post op tommy hardy jr. Trans AA have been woefully misrepressented for far too long.

I wish they'd fix/recast Felix/Brad. I have a bee in my bonnet about gay characters of color. Marc Samuel is actually a very attractive guy, but I agree that he's not a fantastic thespian.

Ryan Carnes is alright, but he's not sooooo above Felix and Brad in terms of attractiveness.

Euh... yes he is. hes sky high above both

And i adore brad but if we go for just the first glance lucas is the model pretty of the three.

Just a question parry shen is 42 and lucas is supposed to be early 30 at most so are we calling lucas a cub and brad the gay equivalent for cougar? (Someone help me cuz i have no idea what this would be)

This show is hardly like QAF

I am really excited for this britt/Nik/liz story.

I have liked what little i saw of brad and lucas, they work much better than felix and brad.

theres just so many pairings i dont care about. julian/alexis, sonny/olivia, lulu/dante, franco/carly, etc.

Meh.

Now if we were talking about the guy who plays Nathan or Sean Blakemore, totally different story.

Tell that to the conservative fringe of the audience that will blow a caskett over this.

I am aware of the big difference btwen the two shows lol

I am willing to give you sean blakemore but while i can see that natty is cute and was a model he really has no charisma and to me that plays a big part in whether i find a guy cute or not.

It is hardly QAF, but from my experience, it's the one show (positively or negatively) that has influenced how some viewers view fictional gay characters.

Every time the suggestion that a gay character doesn't behave like a chaste monk and is shown as a character who enjoys flirting or sex, the QAF comparison is used.

Also, there does seem to be a quota on US based daytime soaps that you cannot have more than two to three gay characters on one soap at any time.

If folks are familiar with UK or even German based soaps, they at least have more than two or three at a time.

i dont think any of the characters of brad, felix or lucas need to be recast. ll three actors do just fine, tho i do find MS the weakest, but he is still good. The problem really is in felix. He is a terrible character who has only allowed to be sabrinas prop. He also comes off as very weak. I like Brad, he is interesting and we have seen more sides to him in a shorter amount of time. RC as Lucas is still pretty new, but he has the most solid story because he is actually connecting to people who matter (and a lot of them, at that).

think the triangle formation was way to quick. Brad/Felix should have been coupling up before Lucas arrives. They wasted time doing nothing until Lucas came and then BAM. I get not wanting one to cheat on the other, but they could have casually been dating for a few weeks before Lucas came, something.

I also do not think that all three are the same version of a character at all, ive seen others say that though.

I think that if the show makes an effort, Felix could be fixed. His whole entire purpose was to support Sabrina. You can't let a character stay in the position forever and then expect viewers to be interested in him.

He basically was like that other blonde nurse, from decades ago, who had no life and was always seen behind that nurses' station.

Was the actresses name Shelly?
