I've always hated the SID and SOD covers and article features. They feature great photos but are so small that you can either barely see them or have text all over them, hence ruining any sort of pinup type situation you may want them for. Looks so hideous.

Usually there are a few small pictures of CBS / NBC soaps. Kinda ridiculous for only one soap to be on the cover. There wasn't any news about AMC / OLTL on the cover, either.

Yeah but they were guilty of playing favoritism YEARS before All My Children and One Life to Live went off the air.

I remember one year (I think it was 2008 or 2009), I had all 26 issues, counted them up. OLTL had 2 covers, AMC had 4 covers and General Hospital had a ridiculous 20 covers.

It wasn't like that when it started back in 1997. At least not during the first couple of years. They were extremely biased and probably happy to become General Hospital in Depth in 2012.

SID isn't the only magazine guilty of favoring certain soaps over others. I picked up SOD from the mid-80's til about 2008 on a regular basis and most of the covers were Days, GH or Y&R. What goes on the cover is dictated by who/what sells the most magazines. If GH is on the cover it's because that's what gets the sales. It's called business.
