I love her on the show, but there are moments when Maura West seems to think it's 1930, talking pictures have just started and if she can't impress Mr. Mayer with her skills she'll be back in vaudeville any day now. She sometimes reminds me of some of those incredibly arch stage performers who struggled with the new way of making movies where you didn't just pose and contort your face whenever the camera was on you.

This paragraph just made my day. :D Spot on, and hysterical (and I really enjoy her, in a pretty thankless role, too,but... yes.)

This is what FV was hyping up?

LMAO.

Everytime I see them two in drag I turn red from laughing hysterically.

I personally find JL and JJY hot as men. But, they make horrid looking women. Just rachet. But, they do it with a style and flair that makes it funnier than Dinah Shore s.hit.

Dinah SHore?

I'm not saying they ever could make attractive women, but I don't think that's he goal--isn't it a homage to Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in Some Like it Hot. Tad and Edmund on AMC did it first ;)

I will give the show credit. Almost despite myself, I did enjoy Mama Obrecht singing one of my fave melodramatic '60s pop songs, Is That All There Is?

I have to give props to whoever directed that. When they would cut away from her to show other characters but you could still hear Obrecht doing the spoken parts of the song in the background, it was kind of hilarious.

I really was hoping she would spirit Duke away back into captivity. I've tried to like him...but I just don't.

I liked that too.

My god, Sabrina (and Felix when he's with her) is insufferable. Every. single. scene of her is her wondering where Patrick is. Wheeeere's Patrick? Why isn't he here with meeee? What did the evvuhll Britch do this time? Terrible.

Right? And why was she even at the party? Soooo awkward and forced.

Them's fightin words, don't mess with my Duke wink.pngtongue.png

Forgive me I'm too young for 80s GH- I don't really know him besides Ron's version! biggrin.png I very much liked when Ian Buchanan was Faison pretending to be Duke

I liked O's song. But, she was like a deranged Bond girl.

Say "Dinah Shore s.hit" outloud. It sounds like dinosaur [!@#$%^&*].

Ha and yes the aged James Bond thing is apt.

I think Sabrina was just hanging out at the bar (I have no clue why it wasn't shut down for a private event...) Obviously forced stuff.

Well, let's face it, not everyone can be Candy Cayne.

Todays show was bad and all over the place. Sabrina, Felix, Maxie, Spinnelli and Ellie are just bad. Don't like Lucy lately and Mac and Felicia are boring while Dr. O is way to OTT.
