That was great. For those that didn't catch it, Helen lied to El about Kait not wanting to use POV. El had gone to see Kait assuming she would use PoV on herself and congratulated her for choosing herself, and choosing herself over a man whom could have cared less about her safety last week. Kait pretty much confirmed she was using PoV for herself. (Funny moment in HoH. Helen: I know you love Jeremy. Kait with the swiftness: I don't love him). So, later, Helen was blabbering as usual and told El that she promised Kait both her own and El's protection. El is like you're promising everybody everything, it's impossible. Kait didn't need a deal, this is something she should have been doing because she has self-worth. She also told her to stop making deals that include her but that don't involve her in the discussion phase. She said she'll consider a deal with Kait if Kait comes to her. Jeremy wants to talk to Elissa in an attempt to switch his faith in the voting. El told Helen she will not have any discussion with either him or Aaryn about anything.

I think El's always been straight forward but it's on another level now that she's allowed to talk to people and people are allowed to talk to her freely. I hope she starts winning comps soon.

Yeah, and Candice definitely called Helen out as well later but Candice is sort of a lost cause. Howard has her under his spell and IMO he is totally using her feelings for him. He has more genuine feelings for Spencer.

Helen is also a lost cause because she's the United Nations on crack. jupp, did you get the invite to Helen's alliance too?

ETA:

Extremely boring night on the feeds. It went from two 10 nights to a 0.2, lol.

Yes! I'm all for this. These three have had the hardest struggle out of all the HGs. These three making it to final three (with Candice winning preferably) would be the best ending to this season.

I'm glad too that Elissa is starting to realize that some people (Amanda, McRae) are using her for her MVP position. I'm glad that Candice confirmed tonight too that her allegiance lies with Helen & Elissa. I'm praying the boot list goes as followed:

Jeremy

Aaryn

Gina

Kaitlin

Spencer

Jury Boots

Amanda

Andy

McRae

Howard

Judd

Helen

Jessie

2nd. Elissa

Winner: Candice

I really think if Candice had more allies in there she wouldn't rely so much on Howard. They've never given her a real chance. Andy, for instance, said weeks ago that everything in the house is Candice's fault.

Helen - bleh. She keeps saying they "owe" Kaitlin for taking herself off the block. She even said they "owe" her more than Candice, which Judd, thankfully, disagreed with.

As much as I'd be happy to see Jeremy go, I would laugh if after all Helen's blather, Kaitlin decides to keep herself on the block after all (and then goes, as I don't need to see this nasty person turned into another Janelle).

The thing is she has a bond with El, Candice from the Have Not torture and she even promised her allegiance to the girls last night but she's GONE about Howard. Her and El were talking last night - well Candice was talking and El was listening - and Candice is acing like she's not that into Howard but going on and on about him.

El likes Candice and that was probably a significant part of the reason she didn't nominate Howard (production interference being the other part of it & the fact that he uses religious stuff on El which she has a soft spot for) which has Amanda after her head. She's gone as far as saying she probably would not ever nominate Howard which makes the target bigger from Amanda who becomes poison when you're not doing what she wants. Right now this Candice & Howard thing is a liability to El who already has a huge target on herself. Amanda is being transparent about having a second alliance at this point to people with a brain but she's also spreading poison towards those who didn't do her bidding. It's a weird position for El because if she's doing this for Candice as well ... Howard likes Candice as a friend and only as a friend. Him and a few of the boys were talking about the yoga classes last night... so they're all reflecting on Jessie's behind during yoga, and then after Howard stops envisioning Jessie's behind, he's like "oh yeah somebody else was there, Candice... she's hot too, (meaning) Elissa (and not Candice), she's a hot mom. That body. She really takes care of that body." It's obvious to me Howard is a black man who is attracted to white women a lot more than black women. He also doesn't give a s--t where Candice ends up in the game. He was discussing game with his true love Spencer and his alliance consisted of his fake MVP savior McCrae, and somebody who wants him out yesterday in Amanda, somebody who Amanda has convinced that Howard should go first Andy, Spencer and possibly El.

Jeremy should be going this week and it seems it's aligning that way, but I feel like the DR is going to make sure it's Aaryn. This is unfortunate because strategically, IMO, it really should be one of the strong people as much as I think Aaryn and Spencer are pigs in different ways. Kaitlin and Jeremy are dangerous together in terms of winning comps. Spencer has been insulting Aaryn for the past 24 hours due to her racism in a passive aggressive manner, but WTF? Spencer is so misogynistic. Blind leading the blind. It's no way it's going to be Howard going or even nominated no mater what. I don't think Helen was lying about the DR.

I do think Elissa sparing Howard put more of a target on her, but I also feel like the main people who are targeting her were just using her anyway, and there was always going to be a point where that would end, because she doesn't like to just be used or condescended to. In Andy's case, I don't think he's ever really liked her anyway, he just wanted to keep her to get rid of bigger targets. Amanda, I don't know, she might have liked Elissa, I can't tell. Amanda and Andy are dangerous players because they just go on and on and on, but I don't think either of them were ever going to be there for Elissa anyway.

I think if Candice had more people she could talk to, who actually care about her, she would be less dependent on Howard. I'm sure some of it is a crush, but she is also isolated. I really wish she and Jessie had not had a bad relationship. I wish she, Jessie and Judd could work together. I agree that Howard doesn't seem to be into Candice, even as an ally. He seems to think he's in a better position than he is. Candice had to tell him to try to win HOH next week. He was going to throw it. He still might.

Andy is going on and on to people trying to target Howard. It just seems like overkill. I guess the lies Amanda told did their job. He's playing too hard.

Apparently Spencer and Amanda were making some joke about Candice and Howard and their "pigment" last night, and Aaryn said that when she says that she gets in trouble. This is why I can't bring myself to like Amanda.

Who knew Andy was so easy to manipulate? I knew he was playing the other side the first two weeks as much as I know he's being manipulated this week. Helen needs to tell Andy what she told El and Candice, Amanda clearly has close allies on the side they all wanted out and her thing with Howard is more about securing armies for herself on both sides.

You're right about El though, it was going to happen sooner or later. El is not a push over and she appears to have strong core values - at least in this game - much more so than Mr. Religion Howard. It's difficult to play a game like that but there was no way she was going to throw people who helped her and that she likes/liked (and that even still includes Amanda) under the bus just to go further although she really wants to go further now. Again, it's not going to be easy to play the game that head-strong. Not impossible, but not easy.

At this point I don't trust Howard as an ally to anybody but Spencer even after he finds out it was El who saved him. He promised his allegiance to Helen and her main people (El, Candice) before her nominations and look at his group of 6 + 1. If El knew this, I do think she'd be more apt to nominate him. I'm really hoping her ass is able to win competitions from now on. I feel like she has more focus and more drive to stay now, so that may help.

I do want McCrae and Amanda to suffer so I wish the next HoH is able to torture them. I just want their all too strong double dealings to be exposed.

I agree with Aaryn's very racist butt. They're really letting GM, Spencer and Amanda totally get away with it while they're going out of their way to help Aaryn destroy her life. I wonder if AG will get real with Amanda's edit on Tuesday due to the Howard push. Part of the reason Howard didn't like her is he heard her mentioning "the minority" alliance in the first week.

ETA:

Uh-oh Jeremy is campaigning today.

He striked out with Jessie. He was trying to bully her and she stood up to him. Yay, Jessie!

El and Jeremy are talking, not about game BUT they're talking. Color me surprised. He has wanted to talk to her because he's screwed, I'm surprised about the talking on her end. She's getting jabs in though: "it's very important to act like a good man. It's very important to be a good man."

Helen and Andy are doing what they do best: blabbering on and on.

Agree about this being the last newbie season for a while -- I think they will do All-Stars next summer just so they have a "sure thing."

After BB9 was criticized by many fans (personally I loved it) they did a "back to basics" BB10.

In other news, I think Jeremy could finagle staying this week. Aaryn and Spencer also have pretty big targets, and we know Grodner wants Aaryn out badly.

I didnt watch much of the feeds so I dont have much to comment on, but from what i have read Amanda is playing the damn game, Judd is upping his game and Elissa/Helen have become majorly obnoxious with their superfriendship alliance and ego trips.

Nothing would be better than Elissa going home next week, except maybe Helen going, but neither will happen.

Seriosuly tho there are so many people I need evicted asap. Like basically everyone but Candice/Judd/Amanda/McC/Jesse.

Elissa is rarely in HoH. She's speaking up more but she isn't on a power trip. She's acting the same way she does as a Have-Not, except people are now allowed to communicate with her. Amanda is in more of a power trip than El is. Heck, Amanda may be on more of a power trip than Helen is on.

I'd love half of McCrae/Amanda to go or for Helen to go sooner rather than later.

If Elissa, Howard or Candice win the next HoH things could become really interesting with all the crap stirring Amanda and the Pizza Boy have been doing. Somebody's bound to reveal it. Would maybe cause the big alliance to split in half.

I think if Elissa wins HoH it will be more of the same as it has been from the start of the season.

Now, If Howard, Candice, or Amanda win - things will be interesting. Then again, not really, because MVPlissa will still nom whoever she wants and they will go.

Next week the main house target is Howard, with people like Andy working overtime to push Candice/Howard nominations. So anything that goes off that path will be interesting. I think Elissa might nominate Howard if she wins, but she's not a definite, whereas many in the house are.

I don't quite want Howard to go yet, and I want Amanda to have to sweat. I would even root for a Spencer HOH if I didn't know he'd target Judd.

Part of me wonders if the show will let Howard or Candice go before Aaryn, or if they just want that to not happen this week, because of the racist controversy.

    • I still suspect they won't show a kid holding and shooting a gun. I think she stabbed him, and then someone else shot him to cover it up.
    • Slow burn episode leading up to the main event: Who will steal the drug first? I am hoping EJ connives his way into buying a money pit of a hospital and the drug ends up at TitanDimera. I like seeing the votes being tallied for the hospital board, but so far I don't see any for EJ. Kayla, Kate and Brady, despite Kristen's attempts to control him, all are voting Titan. I am assuming Philip will blow the whole deal for them given the way Xander and Alex were talking today. Alex and Gabi were far more entertaining that his sexcapades with Stephanie. A little conversation goes a long way. I like to see characters actually connect before they jump into bed, but that's just me. I am still hoping for Gabi and Philip if they are testing her with everybody. Guess the new writers were as bored with JJ as I was. Arianna coming back will be fun. Just in time for Aaron Greene to return for the summer perhaps?  The tea party was a hoot. Just the two boys in their hats was worth the price of admission. Belle is obviously well aware that EJ kidnapped Mother Blake and does not care. As long as she is embracing her hypocrisy because EJ is great in bed I am good with it. Kayla was having none of her pitch though. Xander is definitely the lesser of two evils here. For all those guessing Wee Rachel was the shooter. I think that story is commencing now they have ruled out Kristen, Ava, Gabi, Johnny, Roman and Kate
    • The Anna/Jason symbiotic relationship is the one that sticks out to me.  They went way out of their way to tell us & show us that they really think they get each other. Basically they have INSISTED that they are somehow perfect partners. Plus, in Africa they treated us to a "Are We About To Die?" kiss. Meanwhile they have worked & overworked the idea that they were  NOT going there of course because to Jason she is & always will be Robin's mother. Okay, geeze, fine, use time, space & dialog to push a variety of different messages, some of which seem to us to clash! We're just the fans, being told what to think. Don't mind us at all when we grumble. If Robin were watching this show, I can only imagine the "Letters to the Editor"!!!
    • I wish the Black male characters felt more fleshed out (and I’m not talking about gross 2000s-style man pain like with Jonathan Randall or Billy Abbott). I feel like we don’t have as much access to their interior worlds, which—fine—female genre. Right now, the balance on BTG feels off to me gender-wise, mostly because there are a lot of Dupree daughters (Chelsea, Naomi, Dani, Nicole, Kat, possibly Eva) and only one son (Martin). Feel free to disagree. I think Andre, Bill, and Martin feel closest to male “main characters” to me (Jacob had his quick moment), in that they can drive a scene from their POV and not as a supporting character. I’m waiting for the secrets to be fully revealed so that the men can show more layers. But things like having two cheating husbands stand out more in this type of environment.
    • I'll get back to you when Jordan appears on screen. Lol!
    • Don't feel bad: most do. I know it's in the "less than" category of opinions. And lunch? What's for lunch today?

Definitely am improvement overall, hah. I want someone to call him "bastard". Ha. Maybe I should sneak into Port Charles for a second.
    • A very underrated writer/director, IMO.  Of course, not all of his films were successful or memorable, but the ones that are - "Kramer," "Places in the Heart," "Nobody's Fool," etc. - are masterpieces.
    • I tend to ignore the fact you like Tanisha Harper.  She just blends in.  When she comes on screen I literally mind drift and think what I want for lunch. Melgar's Lily at least iconically blew up!!!  And once you know she's going to explode LM is tolerable in rewatch. It's coming!!  Half the young people in town call him "Uncle Sonny" or, well, "Dad" lol.  You know Emma's going to be on that bandwagon.
    • Jennifer Brooks had insisted that life go on since all her family knew that death might be eminent for her. Brock had given them a philosophy by which to live. "God grant me the serenity to accept that which I cannot change, the courage to change that which I am able and the wisdom to know the difference." Lorie asked her father to let her give a big party for the family and friends to celebrate her parents' thirtieth wedding an-niversary. He disapproved until Lorie said this was not a reminder of how little time there was, but a celebration of the life they had had together. Jennifer was pleased and looked forward to the party.  That evening, Stuart gave Jennifer her anniversary gift before the party rather than after. It was a diamond heart pendant to symbolize the heart he gave her long ago — his own. Lance and Lorie gave them a trip to Paris as a gift. Stuart had wanted to take Jennifer away, but she wouldn't leave the girls with their problems. The party was such a success that Jennifer told Stuart that this had been the most wonderful night of her life. Jennifer slipped away in Stuart's arms that night, clutching her pendant.  Stuart called Lorie who located all her sisters and asked them to meet at their parents'. He explained that their mother felt no pain and was happy as she passed peacefully away. Peggy felt she should have been home for her mother rather than visiting a friend, but Stuart said it was sudden. Lorie blamed herself for giving the party which was probably too much. Stuart told her how much that party meant to Jennifer. Brock came by to tell them that Jennifer had him draw up instructions for her burial and wanted only her family with her. He also had a letter for Stuart. She wrote him this love letter in case she didn't have the opportunity to tell him in person how much their life together had meant to her and this is why she wanted him to remarry.  Snapper visited his mother after he learned of Jennifer's death. He felt he hadn't seen enough of her recently.  After the funeral, Peggy told her sisters that she would not be going away to school. She was the only one left to care for their father because Chris and Lorie had husbands and Leslie had a career. Stuart insisted that Peggy finish packing and catch her plane to school as planned.  Chris was worried about her father after Snapper told her to keep an eye on him because grieving husbands could become ill as they didn't remember to eat. She called to insist that she was coming over to fix his dinner and found that Liz was there. Liz asked him for an extra key so that she could do the laundry and cleaning to repay him for earlier kindnesses.
