April 8, 201313 yr Member How sad but she suffered for so long this might be a gift. I hope they play this song in dirge fashion at her funeral. That would be a nice touch. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/pWH9HGS7SvQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
April 8, 201313 yr Member She was ill for so many years, it's good to know she's at least at peace now. RIP. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6NatiMGTH4
April 8, 201313 yr Member Lisa Whelchel @LisaWhelchel R. I. P. to fellow Mouseketeer, Annette Funicello. She was always so sweet to us little mice.
April 8, 201313 yr Member I know that she'd been suffering for quite a while (since the 90s, if I'm not mistaken), so I'm glad that she's finally free of pain and at peace.
April 8, 201313 yr Member I am a total fanatic when it comes to the beach party movies... <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ylAlsqfnKhM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
April 8, 201313 yr Member I know that she'd been suffering for quite a while (since the 90s, if I'm not mistaken), so I'm glad that she's finally free of pain and at peace. She was diagnosed with MS in 1987, and went public with it in 1992. Her last acting appearance was in the TV movie based on her autobiography in 1995. This had to be a merciful release. +1.
April 9, 201313 yr Member She fought so hard, and was a real inspiration to generations of Americans. She was so sweet and had a timeless appeal. I liked how in the last years of her career she was happy to throw herself into projects that were tongue-in-cheek, yet not malicious. This is where I first saw her. I watched this movie a few too many times, and she was the main reason. It's silly nonsense but she was a lot of fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r_77q0BnVs
April 9, 201313 yr Member http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/08/showbiz/annette-funicello-obit/index.html "We have lost one of America's sweethearts for generations upon generations," Avalon said of her death. "I am fortunate enough to have been friends with Annette as well as appear in many films, TV and appearances with her. She will live on forever, I will miss her and the world will miss her."
