Anything can entertain as long as you are willing to check your brain at the door and accept stupidity as entertainment. And it's a simple fact. Some people have very long tongues. That seems to correlate with brains that can be checked at the door.

I don't see how. I have things I enjoy that are very intellectually stimulating and then I just have pop trash that I can relax with. The last couple months of GH and the ongoing, delightful mess that is Smash among them. I think most of us have those different types of entertainment in our lives, depending on the different moment. I spent half the day working on a writing deadline and I could've gone out and seen a Godard movie, but it was a headache of a day and I just figured I might as well stay home, watch Kelly Sullivan embarrass herself and save something truly stimulating like Godard or Life of Pi for tomorrow when my eyes don't hurt. We all have ways we unwind.
