OLTL: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

I don't remember Rama being considered that big of a flop. The writing wasn't there though (shocker on that one). Maybe this time it will be.

Once she was on her own and just a generic money-grubbing bimbo involved in cheap-ass catfights, like every other woman in that age range on OLTL at that time, a lot of people had enough of her. I think that's one of the reasons they brought Vimal back in the first place.

Yeah she became cookie cutter kind of character, without Vimal who basically grounded her, she really wasn't likeable IMO

Rama wasn't a flop, they just needed to find her a friend other that "Aubrey"

I wouldn't say flop, she was liked, but they made her generic people started disliking her. Her eccentricities is what made people love her and they watered that down to make her like Jess, Nat and so on

Oh, Carl, I know that's not your only thought when we have these lovely photos. Just look at what they did for Julia Barr and Debbi Morgan, and Erika!

I'm sure Rama will be much better online

I haven't seen the AMC one yet. I like the layout of the OLTL one, I don't think the bar looks that bad either. I think there are good color combinations. I would have put Destiny and Dani (sorry just using character names for brevity) in different outfits, but otherwise it looks nice.

It's still kind of hard to believe it's real. It's probably the most surreal feeling I've ever had with a soap.

You and me both.

I'm still kinda in shock about it all..It won't feel real to me until the first day I log onto hulu and watch the first episode.

I'm an incredibly optimistic person, but even I have a tiny corner in the back of my brain prepared for some sort of last minute upset. But really, at this point I think the biggest disappointment would come from these shows only surviving one season. To me, that would be most devastating. I'll just go ahead and rebuke that demon now.

I think about that, too. But really, at this point what can we do about it? Nothing other than watch. If they're good, they're good, if they're bad they're bad but at least a real effort is actually, truly being made. That's enough to count for something real.
