Jack could be rested until he's SORASED. The character is completely isolated, with no friends or real peers. With so little airtime available there isn't enough room to development a teen set around him. Jack could be sent to boarding school. The teacher plot isn't that important to the main plot as of yet.

Have to disagree with that. They were smart to limit AT to family stuff with the vets for most of the season- AT improved working with them and he wasn't strong enough to center a teen set around. Further, unless we get an ep increase which seems unlikely, there's not a ton of room to have Dani/Matthew/Destiny/Jeffrey as a 21ish set and a slightly younger teen set with Jack and friends.

I would rest the character as some suggested, then recast and slightly age for a future season. If it means a less than satisfying end to the teacher plot, I'm okay with that.

I mean Jack the character should featured more. Now if PP is limiting him because he is green then replace him. I also feel we need more balance and not 39 episodes of Matthew and Jeffrey if we only get 40 shows a season. More balance is key. Id also love to see Roxy, Fish & Kyle even if recurring. Maybe Fish is a detective now & Kyle could be the main doc at the hospital

I miss Roxy/Natalie scenes

Well if they kept them recurring any only paid them per episode they could save money that way. I know Ilene & Brett are open to returnong

Jen Pepperman also said she loved the Kish Story and loves Ilene as Roxy

Jen Pepperman, like Ginger Smith, seems to always answer diplomatically whenever she's asked if X or Y might be brought back. I do like that both of them seem committed to not bringing back characters just for the sake of bringing them back and to keeping the cast size where we can see most of the cast frequently with story.

Personally I have no desire to ever see Roxy again but a lot of fans seem to feel differently so maybe having her pop up recurring would be a good move. Of course then people would just probably complain that she wasn't front burner every ep.

    • This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
    • She told Vanessa to "DOUBLE her offer" on the Jarvis house.  The Jarvis family accepted the doubled price.  Assuming the house has an appraised value of $2,000,000, she's theoretically paid the Jarvis family $4,000,000 for the house.  The bank would loan Leslie 80% of the appraised value ($1,600,000), and Leslie had to pay the balance with cash at closing --- $2,200,000.  She only had ONE million.  Where the hell did she get the rest?!  And now she's got contractors working on the house all day & half the night.  Who's paying THEM?  I keep thinking all this will crash around her.  Either that or the writers have absolutely no idea the limits of a million dollars.  Sounds like a "lot of money", but it obviously ain't when we look at Leslie's spending since she got that million dollar check in August.

    • Vernon is an idiot. Why would he have Sharon in the same hotel that Leslie is staying at?
    • Yes, that out of the blue return was odd. Maybe GG found a forgotten clause in the contract he signed when he was wooed to ABC and they were forced to take him back! Like George Reinholt he talked about the contract that promised him primetime roles. But it was loaded in the networks favor. I think it was Gloria Loring that re-signed at Days on the promise of primetime opportunities, but that was all it was- she was put up for guest spots and TV movies but not necessarily guaranteed that she get the role.
    • I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
    • It's interesting to watch this having watched The Doctors. I'm not sure I'm seeing that much of a difference in the characters Gerald Gordon and Anna Stuart played on The Doctors and what they're playing here.
    • I keep forgetting a huge chunk of that year was written by scabs. You're probably right, because by the time the strike was over, they were likely planning an exit for Alan's character as it must have been obvious by then that Bernau was not going to return. If he was still there, it's also doubtful they would have approached MZ and MG about coming back. Wild.
    • And to think the original plan was for David and Lesley to have an affair.  Not only would that have made no sense - Lesley wasn't THAT stupid, lol - but it also would've ruined her and GH.
