Thank you jesus! I think all the cursing will hurt international sales and it just feels like they're trying to hard when they do it. It rarely felt natural. I'm glad they decided to focus on what matters and thats good story.

That has to be a new Dani/Destiny scene recently filmed. I was actually impressed with LH in that small clip. Hopefully it isn't cut.

Their feedback seems to come from facebook. If so we should see Rex, Gigi, and SE/Destiny, and EA/Matthew returning. Also they should be cutting the love scenes because people feel they're too risque. OLTL can kiss any chance of seeing a gay character on the show goodbye.

I don't connect sex to this. They've been heavily promoting the scene where Colby gave Petey oral sex on AMC. I actually think people would've been okay with nudity here and there, but the constant "[!@#$%^&*]" in every episode was getting on my nerves. It wasn't that bad on OLTL, but on AMC it was terrible. There was one episode I recall where each scene had several curse words and then the final scene with Petey he said "[!@#$%^&*]" like three times. It was just annoying after a while, because it seemed obviously they were only saying it because they could. It didnt' feel natural and it took me out of the scene.

Yeah I didn't remember their outfits (and god knows I remember Destiny's since most of them are awful) so I'm hopeful its a new scene and not a cut. It seems like a fight between them would be a development for the "A-team" that they wouldn't want to cut.

They need to not listen to the FB commenters- I was hoping they were taking more from twitter where people seem more sane and people who actually took time to send direct feedback. The people who turned out over cursing and Shelter were gone after 2 days and probably not coming back. I read the following on AMC FB yesterday- "Only charcter I miss is Ted. Don't want Kindle to come back and make trouble for Erka. Don't like the cusses and nudity" Yeah, listen to that person, great idea, effing great.

On the other hand, let's take a moment and pray (the pearl clutching fans should appreciate that) that this is the biggest news drop from PP for the rest of summer.

They can handle watching people being raped, murdered, sexually abused, etc but a little cussing is too offensive? Okay then...I suppose it's impressive they even figured out how to watch the show with so many thinking it's hula.com

That clip was hilarious. We were supposed to get an F-bomb in the first episode with the Blair/Todd confrontation. I just hope we don't lose good scenes because of a 2-second part of a scene where someone said a swear word.

I thought that the swearing was relatively under control on this show, and made sense when used. I think that because these shows were on network for so long where they couldn't use these words, people are not used to hearing them from these characters. I also thought the Pete/Colby "computer" scene on AMC was fine too, considering they didn't really show anything.

What bothers me about this whole thing is that the same people complaining are probably the same people who have been watching the long drawn out love scenes, women calling each other bitches, the rapes, and the murders for years on soaps, and did not complain at all.

When ATWT had the Slasher storyline (which our own Matthew was a victim of!), no one complained or batted an eye, and those were some very gruesome murder scenes.

Not everything is for your kids, or is rainbows and sunshine. Just because it doesn't exist in your world doesn't mean it doesn't exist in the world.

This is why I don't think Frons was the bad guy during the ABC days. He was only catering to what the fans wanted. I know we'd like to think that most soap viewers are enlightened, open-minded, and sane people, but we in SON are the minority and the Facebook fans are the target audience.

Oh yay people are commenting that now their small children can watch again! Hallelujah- the preschool and elementary school viewers I'm sure that's what will keep the shows financially viable for TOLN.

And I say this as someone who got hooked on soaps in kindergarten during a violent storyline because my grandmother was a terrible babysitter- the whole fun of it was that they were for ADULTS.

    • OMG!!!! ONE OF ANITA'S BANDMATE IS COMMMMMMMMINNNGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • I'll add that I did think the Bill/Smitty scenes were the best--played really well.
    • I am loving that Anita's story is off and running. And it's a slow burn.   OOoooo another Bill/Smitty scene. But I'm loving that the seed that Bill planted has really been growing over yesterday and now today's episode. Cuz Smitty going to Nicole...uh oh now.    Kat continues to be smart and love it. But hopefully she realizes she's getting played by Silk Press Sheila.    And probably in the minority, but I do like the June storyline so far. And it has not stalled really at all. It feels organic in terms of pacing.
    • Well I'm always here for people singing my song when it comes to the New/Old writers. lol.  Same.   Also same.
    • I got the feeling she's always been slightly too flirty with him?  But this brings up a comment I've had whenever I see Vanessa with these weird men (or was this one we've seen before) who she has role play sex hijinks with...  They always just come off as plain bizarre.  This guy followed her in the middle of the day to a cafe?  The dialogue always seems like they want to push the boundaries too with what they can say but then just comes off as incredibly weird (something about what she did with her foot?) And oh yes, let's go to an underground/backroom casino to try to raise money for our new upstart agency? I hate to say it, and I didn't catch the writers for this episode, but I felt this was another episode like some past ones where the dialogue throughout sounded off and not natural--and too filled with references and metaphors that maybe looked nice on paper but not so much when people say them. (Oh and random--why cast a day actor as a surgeon for a tiny scene and then reveal in the next hospital scene that he can't do it because of a family emergency?  Just... kinda weird.)
    • Oh, lord. I was hoping that Doug would be in June's surgery for a while. Now I'm afraid that she's going to run right into Dani and Pamela.
    • The shirtless scenes increased under Nicholson as EP with Quinn, Hogan etc. They had focused on Steve Kendall under Joanna Lee in 1983 but not much bare skin on SFT overall.  Louanne was a terrible recast. And don't get me started on Pam Long's horrible final six months as head writer with the Ireland plot and the convoluted Judge Henderson plot. I watched it daily until the end and cannot summarize either plot.
    • Running in late and a bit out of order cuz yesterday was a mess but since I'm here...   So far I am liking that there are a lot of hotties and bubbles on display. lol.   A lot of plot is moving and/or being touched on. Right down to ANOTHER of Vanessa's many men. He was cute and bubbled, too.    So far, I'm not feeling SilkPress vs NuTed.
    • I am really struggling with all this Dante Doesn't Like Gio stuff. Would Gio be engaged in this many conversations about how angry Dante is with him? It's overboard and forced beyond belief. I get it. The writers want to create friction between Gio and Dante before the paternity reveal. I just think it should be much more natural and organic. GH has had MANY MONTHS to create this drama, and instead woke up and said "We gotta go at this hard, because we're out of time."
