Exactly. Young people are more than just sex, drugs, booze, and partying. If that's all they're going to be doing, I have no reason to watch them.

This is a BRIEF trailer that is at least partly hoping to get new audiences (which, let's face it if they didn't watch before, anyone starting now online will be younger) so it makes sense to get their attention that way. I seriously doubt every youth story will be about only sex drugs booze and partying.

I was in college two years ago, but I will be the first to admit that I'm NOT the coolest 20-something around. Kind of shy and dorky, not really a partier at all, more a good girl, but NOT an Evangelical type, either (I haven't dated yet, though, but again, shy, dorky, TV trivia type of girl--y'all are gonna think I'm so boring and uncool now laugh.png ). Still, I understand what you're saying.

:o I thought you were middle aged!

Must PP bring back that buffoon David Vickers? I'm so sick of his comedic schtick.

I was a Matthew and Dani shipper from day one, and hated how RC trashed them for that awful Nate Ford. But I need to see more than sexy times between them. I want their friendship back.

I suspect right now Dani is in that party/self destructive phase a lot of older teens go to--which includes only drinking or having sex with guys you're into, so it seems story based, and prob will develop.

Agreed about Vickers--the big weak link (and only one) in the trailer for me. I don't mind him in TINY doses but.

don't worry, he/she never had any intention of watching OLTL regardless of what was going to be in that trailer

That is Erika Slezak & she already confirmed that on one of the videos On Itunes

Erika's BI? *so confused*

I think he looks a lot like Eddie. And the rest of him - I mean, I could go on but we'd be here awhile.

BTW, didn't they say they would be running TV spots? They're cutting it close here, much like me and my [!@#$%^&*] taxes. If I was them I'd get the shows on The Talk and the morning shows, especially if ABC won't carry them.

I see Eddie in him too and he doesn't look old to me (I know Carl has a thing about young male actors looking old ;) and I usually agree, but...)

Doesn't the Talk ONLY work with CBS soaps? |Excepting that hilarious time they had AMC actors for a week doing cooking the week The Chew premiered.

I say this as a complete complement but after watching the promo yesterday for OLTL. Does anyone else feel the show has the look and feel of a British soap versus a US one.

Nah. Maybe a little bit more I get, but not especially. It does have a slightly more fresh look than the network ones (even some elements of The City)

Exactly. They did it with ABC stars from AMC and OLTL and with Burton very deliberately. I think they'd be up for it here.

I love some of the youtube videos. This bullshit will never end with people saying "it's not for me" or "Why isn't it on TV!" One guy posts as SoapFanatic or something but says he won't support a non tv soap and they should have sold it to a cable station (umm, they tried.) The thing is, I swear nearly everyone who bothers to post *online* such crap will at least check out the first episode.

I think we can all agree that nobody wants to see Viki showing any skin

I don't want to see any nudity where Viki is concerned but I do want romance for Viki and Clint.

Amen, and I would love to have Vicki have a story that isn't just Nicky, and isn't based solely around her children.

Amen! I am happy with the Banner storyline but I don't want it to turn into all Jeffery (who I know I will like), It needs to revolve around Viki since she owns the paper.
