April 6, 201312 yr Member I found this on Tumblr I am not sure if this is recent??? It is not. The dead weight remains on GH. Good riddance. The promo finally made it all real to me...I absolutely can't wait for the 29th. Hugs.
April 6, 201312 yr Member I'm glad that Rama & Vimal are back Too bad that they'll be divorced when the show comes back, because according to one of ST's instagram pics, Rama is now single! It'll be interesting to see what led to her divorce from Vimal on the OLTL reboot! I hope they get back together on the reboot, because both Vimal and Rama brought hilarious comic relief on the show, especially during those scenes where Rama's fake pregnancy was exposed during the "Vickerman" movie premiere in front of Vimal's parents! April 6, 201312 yr Member Sigh....some soap fans are just stupid.... http://www.bubblews.com/news/369317-i-will-not-be-watching-the-revivals-of-039all-my-children039-or-039one-life-to-live039
April 6, 201312 yr Member It is not. The dead weight remains on GH. Good riddance. At one time I would have said you're crazy because was one of my favorite characters, but now he can stay away. I wish ME would have simply went along with the program as RH did. Then again, TPTB might have something up their sleeve. Edited April 6, 201312 yr by MontyB

April 6, 201312 yr Member These are the "Fans" I get pissed about. The ones who wont even give the shows & recasts a fair shake. AMC & OLTL doesnt need that type of "fan" They will be better without the likes of someone like this Tiffany
April 6, 201312 yr Member Well then i expect that they will play out some of the later stages of grief since not only did she lose the baby, but she also raised another woman's baby thinking it was hers. That is sure to have lasting effects on Tea and hopefully the show will play it out instead of having Tea act like nothing had ever happened. Excited to see Vicki/Dorian clashing, the focus on the Banner, and the happenings at Shelter. One life to Live was always about showing different social classes and all the grey of characters. I'm wondering if the story of Destiny with the sugar daddy, if true, will also provide some recurring characters that are going through struggles both morally and financially as well. I think the show can marry it's original intentions with the more campy aspects of the 80's and 2000's together in a way that shows it is ready for the 2010s! We saw some Téa grieving scenes on GH. I saw the lasting effect of too much loss in her December appearances when Flor played her pretty exhausted by all things Todd. She couldn't even summon up her old rage and simply wanted him out of her life. Blair may be stupid enough to forgive dead baby lies, but I hope the new writers mark that as the line in the sand forever for Téa. I'm stoked for another round of Viki vs Dorian over some serious matter. I hated their past bickering over useless fool David. I hate camp and RC already overdosed OLTL with it his last years. I hope the reboots take a page from Gottlieb and expand beyond soap cliched plots.
April 6, 201312 yr Member Vee, I'm watching the video now (the recap). I like most of the Bo/Nora and Viki/Dorian clips they chose. And it's nice to see Erika in a decent outfit that isn't someone's idea of what any woman over 50 must wear. I actually think David was used to good effect in these clips, surprisingly. I was a little surprised they showed Matthew and Destiny, but I guess they didn't have a choice for story reasons. The sets in the new clips looked good, from the brief glimpse. (I do wish they'd tone down Danielle's lipstick) Edited April 6, 201312 yr by CarlD2
April 6, 201312 yr Member I didn't realize SE and EA were so popular. The reactions to their recasts are ridiculous. I don't get it. Did people react this way when BW or JVD first appeared?
April 6, 201312 yr Member I didn't realize SE and EA were so popular. The reactions to their recasts are ridiculous. I don't get it. Did people react this way when BW or JVD first appeared? I don't know if they were that popular - I felt like sometimes there were about ten of us who liked Eddie as Matthew, and Destiny was mostly a background character. People tend to suddenly become popular after they're replaced, because that means it's time for complaining. And since these shows are an easy target, with no real backing from the big soap sites like DC, that just fans the flames.
April 6, 201312 yr Member I didn't realize SE and EA were so popular. The reactions to their recasts are ridiculous. I don't get it. Did people react this way when BW or JVD first appeared? I think it helped that BW looks like ET but BW was so green at the start. JVD having been on GL for 26 years Im sure helped. However, these reactions to LH & RG are beyond stupid. EA & SE turned down a return. OLTL recast. Edited April 6, 201312 yr by John
April 6, 201312 yr Member Vee, I'm watching the video now (the recap). I like most of the Bo/Nora and Viki/Dorian clips they chose. I was a little surprised they showed Matthew and Destiny, but I guess they didn't have a choice for story reasons. I was very pleased they showed Eddie and Shenell, and then didn't miss a beat to follow it up with the recasts at the end. It indicated they thought more of our intelligence than ABC had for years. And I think most of the audience loved Eddie, as did I, so it was a nice touch. It adds a frisson I also get watching the SN reruns, as well as catching myself up on the last month of the show again - I tuned out a lot of the crap in November and December 2011 before the end, and am rewatching it now. As I said about AMC a few weeks ago, the rewatch for both shows adds a new layer of generational history to things today that was not possible when the shows were just gone. Watching the 'kids' they all were and the adults or young adults they've become on each new show, as well as the characters that have fallen away from both shows, like Ryan, Greenlee, Rex, Gigi, Jessica, the Fords, etc. takes on a different meaning - it becomes part of the same experience we've had when watching old clips of the show in the '80s or '90s. Instead of being signifiers of the show's "current" or terminal stages, those once-prominent characters who are now gone, as well as the young AMC kids or OLTL's original Matthew and Destiny's, have become just another layer of history and of the canvas that has metamorphosized once again like the soaps always did. It's an interesting experience to rewatch. It's organic and natural now. I think some people are just looking for something to bitch about re: recasts on Facebook. There's two new faces in the entire cast picture and they call it "too many new faces!" I just ignore them. Edited April 6, 201312 yr by Vee
April 6, 201312 yr Member I didn't realize SE and EA were so popular. The reactions to their recasts are ridiculous. I don't get it. Did people react this way when BW or JVD first appeared? I saw support for the idea of an overweight teen character like Destiny. But SE's performances were panned badly on the boards I visited. EA was more popular because he grew over time into the role and developed a real rapport with HBS/RSW. They felt like a real family and sold well. I'm more than fine with recasting Destiny but I'll miss EA.
April 6, 201312 yr Member I can't fault Eddie for choosing to take his shot in Los Angeles. Ten years ago I would never have imagined he would become so much more talented than his sister. Back then Matthew was basically the glue-eating Ralph Wiggum of Llanview. Then all of a sudden, around 2009 or so, he woke up one day and out of nowhere he could act. Shenell I will not miss. She had a million chances and only improved marginally.
April 6, 201312 yr Member Posted on YouTube from TOLNSoaps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOxJXM49ALI I wonder why TOLN made the OLTL video unlisted? It was removed from the Facebook page as well... Edited April 6, 201312 yr by Silver Lord
