why did u do this now? Its gonna confuse the hell out of people especially since there are tons of OLTL stuff in the other thread. Errol said we were keeping it together til the shows air in April.

I never saw an article or quoted, audio or video interview about TSJ wanting to rejoin OLTL.

Why? Anything OLTL related can be discussed. If anyone wants to review the OLTL stuff in the other thread, it's just a click away and having two will cut down on confusion.

So if PP still hasn't come to an agreement with ME and KA, does that mean they are going to recast? I mean isn't time running out and I guess since ME and KA haven't been released, GH plan to make them new characters. I suppose ME could play a relative of Caleb's, but who would KA play?

Thank you. Nothing against AMC, but it does get tiring to read through page after page of talk about it just to find a little tidbit about OLTL. I get that AMC is already in production so there's more talk about but I still don't want to read it. When I got home from work today I read through 15 pages and the only OLTL news I saw was that there's a possibility I might see Melissa Archer's boobs online. Which is fantasic news but still. Glad OLTL has its own thread now.

Ok so U didnt want in the same thread so its easy to read just in one but now if anyone wants to re read any old OLTL stuff they still have too go thru 60 pages in the old thread. Doessnt make sense

It pains me to write that Carly is too far above this nonsense. Lol. It's not fun. It's actually just a pain in the ass character being rude. No one is forcing Britt to stay at Kelly's. Jason is paying for her room and all she can do is trash it to the owner. World famous supermodels, mob moll/teachers, singing sensations on endless tours, and realJagger have all lived there with no complaint. Kelly's/Bobbie's is obviously amazing.
Anyhow, Carly was never the obstacle in the Britt/Jason relationship. Steve not getting vaxxed and Kelly deciding to leave every year was lol. The beginning of the relationship was interesting, and KT/SB do have chemistry, but it went nowhere so there isn't a lot of star-crossed issues to snark to Carly about.

It’s funny that not even knowing Ross’s backstory I never really loved the Blake/Ross dynamic because there was always this underlying messaging that Ross was Good and Blake was Bad, and that she should be grateful he was willing to be with her.
It’s an unpopular opinion but I don’t love Ross is general though I totally get why JVD’s charm makes him popular. I just find him overly sanctimonious and hypocritical as a character-I’m at where Holly finds out about Blake/Ross and I really don’t see much difference between how AM led Blake on to help his business interests when he knew she wanted him and how Ross was with Holly during the campaign especially at the end where he definitely knows he’s using Holly for public perception and giving her hope by bidding on her in the auction. But Ross pretty much blasts Holly immediately for thinking she had a reason to be angry-he does the same thing to Blake when she was worried about Amanda, turning the tables on her telling her he was mad at Blake for not trusting him. Blake does a bunch of stupid, impulsive things then lies but Ross does his part to set up the dynamic where Blake spirals when they fight because her entire self-worth is based on his approval and he likes it that way.
I had just assumed Ross was always a white knight do gooder attorney who just temporarily got sucked in by money/power when he worked for Alex given how Ross interacts with other characters/speaks about them.

She really does. I'd be here for it. But that would just radicalize people further who will root for literally anyone who doesn't like Carly. I have been at my fill with the current state of Carly for years but even I need a better class of hater.

I think the show wants Carly to have an adversary and Britt seems to be everywhere now.
To @Vee 's point, Carly/Britt don't have this long standing feud. She's not Brenda, Robin, Liz, Sam, or anyone important. Carly doesn't like any of Jason's girlfriends much besides Courtney, so there is no reason to be pressed about someone Jason isn't even dating lol. I need her to make some sort of epic speech like the elevator speech to Sam with TB's Carly regarding Brenda. Iykyk! Saying something like "Britt you will never be Sam, Robin, or even Liz Get out of my establishment and don't come back."

DAYS: January 2026 Discussion Thread

Maggie and Sarah said they were at the funeral. We just didn't see them. They both shared their sadness on screen about John's death. It didn't bother me that Maggie didn't appear on air at the funeral.
I don't think Bo/Hope shared scenes with Maggie. Someone can correct me if I am wrong though. Are Bo/Hope close with Maggie? Lol. None of these relationships with Maggie scream of importance. She's closer to many more people on the canvas.
I am probably framing my wording wrong. I don't think everyone hates Maggie or anything. I just associate Maggie as being Marlena's friend not John's. And Bo/Hope as family to her, but not anywhere the top of the list of people to share scenes with in a limited return.

It doesn’t really matter Suzanne and Drake worked together for 40 years even if they barely shared scenes and Maggie absolutely should have been at the funeral especially when Bo and Hope came back to Salem Did we even see any scenes of Bo or Hope with Maggie

The problem with their backstory is some of it was retconned.
When Vanessa was introduced, their story went like this:
Ross was a poor student (either college or law) when he fell madly in love with socialite Vanessa. They wanted to get married, but her father's business was failing. The only way for her to save it was to marry a guy named Gerald, who had a lot of money.
Ross never totally got over it. It was not just because he genuinely loved her; it made him feel like he was nothing. It was used as a reason to explain why Ross was so ambitious and money mad.
When divorcee Vanessa hit SF she was determined to get him back. She would show up at his apartment wearing nothing but a fur coat. You guess the rest, LOL. They briefly got back together a couple of times, but it never worked out.
They changed it later so that she was in high school when they first knew each other. Ross was dating Lillian's sister Calla, but he also got involved with Vanessa. She became pregnant on her prom night but she never told him.

I don't really know. It was random. It was when the show first cast KL's Brady and John was being kind of a dick to everyone. He decided she was a gossipy busybody and was mean to her for a year or two. He helped her with the Konstatin situation right before Drake got ill, so I assume they actually liked one another in the end. Personally, I didn't think Maggie/John ever had a deep friendship, but I really am not much of a Maggie fan so I may have forgot some things.

Joe Bradley was written as so obviously smarmy (like Andy). It would have made Holly look like an idiot.
Diane sleeping with him made sense--it was strategic on her part. I believe I recall an article interviewing one or both the actors, who revealed they agreed to play their scenes as if they wanted to go to bed together and Marland picked up on it. If that's true, it wasn't even his idea.
Anyway, no, no, no. No wonder MG left.
Thanks @Paul Raven for posting that article about Dalton. How interesting that she said she chose to leave. The scuttlebut has always been that Marland was determined to write out the character. They must have paid her well if she could afford a mink coat after becoming unemployed. 😂
I just don't understand why they didn't kill her off. Then MAYBE Justin and Jackie getting custody of Phillip would have made a tiny bit of sense. Of course, the obvious route would have been to kill off Elizabeth, then the truth about Phillip coming out, and Alan fighting J&J for custody.
