Since we're on the subject of craft services, I remember an interview with Felicia Minei Behr during the 1994 tornado storyline. She jokingly said that in order to afford all the special effects, the show had to cut back on the craft services for a few months.

Also, I remember when Eva La Rue landed at CSI Miami, she pointed out the biggest difference between working on All My Children and CSI Miami was the craft services. She claimed that at CSI Miami they had lobster tail. Yum!

Whenever I've done extra work, which I do not care for, it was the promise of that union catered spread that got me through the day. They have the best fish!

*Exactly*. I seriously, seriously doubt it would be anything more than that. While they are proudly saying the show can be edgier, I think those involved know enough about soaps and the audience that they don't want to alienate people (and potential TV broadcasts on basic cable) with Skinamax style sequences--and while many soap actors have done those soft core films, I'm sure a lot of them, even the newbies, wouldn't sign up for that. (Yes, many new actors happily seem to sign up to do nudity on a show like Game of Thrones but that's a huge budgeted show that even before the premier had a certain prestige factor to get on, being on HBO and based on high profile novels.)

I do think it makes sense in this day and age to make the sex scenes a little steamier (even if I admit, I often find sex scenes on soaps embarassing, though part of that is they try so hard to be sexy while still having the women in bras or holding the sheets past their chest, etc.)

I hope he's not wearing his own company's FadedWhatever 90s style skater wear... *feels like a grumpy old man*

Everyone seems to be going on about the food supplied... Which makes me wonder just how stingy ABC was on food service in the last few years--and if PP can keep this up or if it's just something for the first week and then they'll be down to chips and dip.

I know--while the tweet was very cute, it also made me feel very sad about being 32. LOL

Val! The actor still does drag in New York, so he could easily come in for a few scenes. And completely agreed. I *really* hope they execs know how hated (sorry AllMyDaysAtGH sad.png ) Fusion largely is. Mostly they seem to be aware of some of the fan complaints, but who knows--I'm still used to the typical network soap thing of the past few years where, when a new regime comes on, they claim they've been listening to fans, etc, and then they seem to just focus even more on what people seem so tired of.

Typically, crafty is crap on soaps, and there are no catered meals. Therefore, PP is going a step above - might also be because the location doesn't make it easy for cast/crew to go out for lunch in a timely manner.

I attended the All My Children NY Times panel in 2010 which Agnes was a part of, and she did confirm that she was involved in bringing back the characters of Angie and Jesse.

Time flies, I remember when you went to that. Didn't you share a Debbi Morgan story ("I'll shout it from the roof tops!")?

I hope you're eating that fish as soon as it's put out.

Wasn't Jesse's death one of those decisions made on strike and Agnes was upset about it? Or was that just urban legend?

No that's true. She talked about that at the NY Times event.

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure how far out the studio is, but Stamford has a lot of bars and restaurants near the train station. We did New Year's with another couple in Stamford a few years ago and had a nice time bar hopping. I've eaten at P.F. Chang's and CPK at Stamford Town Center, and I bet we'll get some Twit pics of the cast grabbing dranks at places like that after work before getting on the train.

That was such a nice story that showed how special the soaps can be in our lives.

There were cameras there. I'm sure the NY Times has an archive.

I don't want cameras I want VIDEO. Or at least a transcript. Grr :P

If it's urban legend, it's one of the bigger AMC story ones. I think Agnes didn't want to make the death so definitive--she wanted to leave it open. But, not sure...

I don't remember the story--PM me Jonathan.

Interesting Nixon confirmed the Jesse thing. Just goes to show that when they don't let her in the writer's room (like Pratt when he killed off Stuart) she retaliates by just undoing the death :P

You too (32)? Me too *sniffle* Dang it, Denyse! Why? *jk*

Early on in this thread, I stated that I was a little disappointed Jordan wasn't going to be Bianca because she really has the sexy, bad girl look at least in the Twitter picture. So, I added "it's the difference between Taylor Swift (Denyse) and Rihanna (Jordan)." Today Denyse tweeted this, which I thought was funny considering that comment:

So I've only been on set a couple hours today and already two people have told me I remind them of young Britney Spears .. (Cont'd) ...one young Natalie Portman, and one brunette Taylor swift. Who knew I looked like so many people? #I'lltakeit :)
