AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

Yea she did, I wanna say she was Randi's foster sister. I don't remember what happened, she worked for Adam as a maid and dated Jackson, which ended her and Erica's friendship. Then I think she just fell off the canvas when they couldn't figure out what to do with her.

Pratt dropped her off screen (i think they may have had a comment about her moving). It was weird, because at first he seemed to like her for comedy but quickly dropped her (early Pratt actually wasn't so bad and had a nice return to some of the humour long missing from AMC).

That's probably the hotel set that I saw on the list

That may be either Pete or Celia's bedroom

I hope hope hope if Colby is part of the reboot then Liza can't be far behind. Hoping and praying!

Catherine Hickland is available. Doubt OLTL is bringing Lindsey back. Besides, I want to see her berate the younger cast members for naughty words on Twitter.

I'm in CA, so I'll be ready for the first episode with my celebratory pizza and wine as early as 9pm on the 28th "just in case" it's posted at the same time for everybody in the US: midnight Eastern, 11pm Central, 10pm Mountain, and 9pm Pacific! smile.png

Ha I'll have to remember not to log on here at all until 10am Monday when I'll have watched. Ah this is gonna have to change my late night SON posting schedule if I have to force myself not to read what happened on the next episode...

Forget the fact that I've wanted to write for these godforsaken shows since I was in elementary school. Hundreds, no, thousands of fans out there are giving their proverbial right eyes for a shot to write just one script for a soap opera, and some punk college kids who probably don't know a soap from the holes in their asses (or worse, who regard PASSIONS as the industry's gold standard) are handed the opportunity because they won a writing contest (no doubt, for something they wrote while they were high)? Give me a [!@#$%^&*] break.

I knocked on doors, I wrote letters, I talked to people, I even took a crappy intern job once, just to meet someone -- anyone -- who could help me. Hell, I even was willing to suck dick to write for daytime. I see now, though, I shouldn't even bother with Vee's advice and send a resume out to PP. Apparently, nothing I do ever will be enough.

AFAIC, the camel's back is broken, and so is his neck and everything else. I hope these shows fail, creatively and financially. And I hope their failure reduces Miss So-Called Queen of the Soaps to a mass of WASP-y blubber. She, and the rest of daytime, deserve nothing less.

Am I the only one who saw this???

Exactly!

Or they could have stopped with the "time jump" stuff before it ever began.

Nah, the problem is they couldn't just pick up so soon after the AMC cliffhanger ending and explain that half the people are MIA, etc.

It could have just been a year later and the kids could have still been SORASed but aged slightly less. It would also have helped to have actual teens playing the parts. I guess they didn't do that because they work the young characters such long hours and are also possibly doing more "adult" scenes.

Anyway it's no big deal ...

True butfrankly I'm glad the teen scene will be late high school--which is much more interesting IMHO than young teens who are lagrely stuck in stories.

No, it wasn't. But they could have picked it up in the present-day. Even with all the absences of various cast members.

It is the present day ;)

Jesus H Christ.

They will be SCRIPTING ONE EPISODE. They will work with the other writers. They are in a playwrighting program that Agnes Nixon's name is attached to. This all makes sense to me and I suspect will be fine. They aren't getting a contract or anything else--go enter the program and enter the prize for next year if you really want.

who is playing Susan? & the V is Vlad

Maybe Susan's one of the other girls captured with Cassie?

I hope if they bring back Liza, it's with someone age appropriate, not another JL who was never believable to have gone to HIGH SCHOOL with Tad, Angie and Jesse. JL's would have been like 7 when she gave birth to Colby

Northwestern Students To Write An Episode Of ALL MY CHILDREN

Chicago native and soap opera pioneer Agnes Nixon created ALL MY CHILDREN two decades after attending Northwestern University. Prospect Park Chairman and CEO Jeff Kwatinetz is an alum of the school as well. Fittingly, a trio of Northwestern undergrads will be involved in an upcoming episode of the soap, which returns on April 29.

Prospect Park has commissioned three finalists from Northwestern’s annual Agnes Nixon Playwriting Festival to write a future installment of the soap, likely to stream in May or June, according to the Chicago Tribune.

In addition to real-world television experience, the students will each be paid $1,500 for their efforts and receive a professional writing credit on the episode.Chicago native and soap opera pioneer Agnes Nixon created ALL MY CHILDREN two decades after attending Northwestern University. I'm going to school for this very thing.. My aunt's boyfriend made a short film that started Kathy Bates, he knows an editor at The Hollywood Reporter.. I am trying to transfer to USC, UCLA, CSULB or NYU

I can see Beth Chamberlain as Liza. She's one of my favorite actresses, and has been since she replaced Judy Evans on GL.

I'd give the contest winners the most challenging assignment for a soap writer IMO: a filler day where nothing really happens, yet the characters have to be watchable!
