I'm guessing they're hoping the billboard (and its follow ups if there are any) will become a viral hit. You know, the whole "WTF is that about?" element.

For example, a couple of weeks ago there were some news stories about billboards which consisted of what appeared to be a couple bickering - he cheated, she took out a billboard dumping him, he took out a billboard apologizing - and I think all of it was billboard performance art for some company.

I like the billboard, but it's a bit cryptic. I don't know that people are going to get it especially since most people haven't heard of TOLN. The billboard either needs to say "You took All My Children..." or it should have a character image that's strongly associated with the show.

No argument from me. Even if they're going for the "WTF is that about?" potential viral element, there's a significant chance most people will not care and that it won't go viral. It's definitely a gamble. I have to believe they're going for that viral element because otherwise that billboard really wouldn't be well thought out.

The billboard is very effective, IMO. I googled the term and, of course came up with Soap Opera Network article in the search result ( ), so if others do the same, then I'm game (plus I'll take the hits too ).

I didn't take his or any of the other execs' comments in a bad light. He's supportive. The comments are just a reflection of the truth ... The industry wants the revivals to succeed, but there's still a real difference between being online and being on TV. The comments aren't different from anything a lot of fans (and I don't mean fans who say they can't tune in or won't watch) have said.

Parts of the interview didn't sit right with me though - it seemed a more re-visionary tale of when she left and the fact there was someone playing Bianca (and well) at the end.

As I recall the whole recast situation was messy. I did warm up to CBL and I enjoyed her approach to Bianca as a mother, but I also understand why TOLN wanted Eden so badly. She does look more mature and is the only Bianca I could legit see as the mother of a 16 year old right now. CBL would have looked like Miranda's older sister.

And yeah, the way they edited her answer makes it seem as if she was playing Bianca till the very last ABC episode. You can tell where they edited her answer because they use the ellipsis (...).

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't trying to be rude, I guess by old man I meant adult. I know he is 21 in real life but I thought I read that they picked him partly because he looks so young for his age.

I think he does look young, I'd have never guessed he was 21
