Yes, Kennicott (sp?), someone mentioned him in another post. Also, it was rumored that another proposed headwriter, who didn't get past presenting a suggested bible was going to bring the character back - so the character has been brought up before.

I think the Chandler Parlor and Buchanan Library are separate given Jerry's OLTL photos on FB and paos.

I half-expected "Kennycock". Well done, allmc.

Are we talking Alden, perhaps? If so I'd love to hear more about her bible.

I guess it could be interesting, but I can't imagine the Kennicotts being relevant today. I could be very wrong.

This could be true, but I think it would be very easy to simply create relevance. It's been over 30 years since the character was on the show, so they could just bring him back, maybe throw in a line about him returning to Pine Valley, and then full steam ahead with new storylines/connections with other characters on the canvas. Agnes is there, so she could pass on knowledge of his characterization.

This is all purely speculation, though. I hope to god this doesn't start a rumor that Dan Kennicott is returning. Look at what my faulty observation of Francesca James's hand did...

I think darker lighting is super depressing and is part of why AMC/ATWT/GL looked dreary, and any beauty on the sets could not be seen. The brighter lighting on DAYS keeps it looking good to me

Every soap reuses sets. Hope and Jennifer's offices look different enough to me. I had no idea they were the same set. At least half the town is not living in different rooms in the same hotel like GL. I'd like to know if people are thinking of the 80s or something when people are saying Days looks really cheap now, as it doesn't look or sound cheaper to me than any soap I've seen in the past decade and a half. Sound problems? I haven't noticed any sound problems. The music is also excellent, really enhances the drama. Y&R and B&B may have a bigger budget but again there, dreary lighting makes them look uninviting and depressing to me when I happen across them.

Days makes do very well with the limited money they have IMO. Lemonade out of lemons.

The City did an excellent job of redressing the same basic loft set into various homes and establishments within the same building. Of course the beauty of that was the fact that all of the sets were within the same apartment building, so it was easy to buy into the notion that all of the sets shared the same skeleton.
