AMC: The Prospect Park Era (old production thread)

I completely agree with Cady. That said, why do I now see her as some hippy-ish free spirit, all too eager to suggest to the show's director that she do a scene nude, wandering around backstage naked and chastising anyone who looks uncomfortable, etc smile.png

I would be more than happy to do a nude scene if AMC hired me!

I'd rather have the return of the Daughters of Fine Lineage!

I'm too lazy to go through and quote everyone, but I agree with all those in favor of the return of the Valley Inn in lieu of the Yacht Club. I'd also like to see the offices of Chandler Enterprises and Tempo magazine instead of Fusion.

I forgot about DFL!! I wonder if Enid is still alive?

I would love to see Valley Inn comeback! Hated Yacht Club and Fusion. I cringed when I heard Fronz did not like Valley Inn because it didn't appeal to young people. It's a Hotel Damn it!! How would a location make or break new viewers? Besides Yacht Club was boring!!

That is interesting, to say the least. I wonder if that's just a general response to people's reactions to a possibly "more risque" AMC or if it's a defense for what she (and not we) knows is on the way. Interesting that she mentions the "younger generation" and its "sexual revolution." I'm guessing young PV will be doing a lot of boot-knocking this summer.

She was referring to my generation. I think I am the only 21 year old left in the US that never "Done It". Sex is very open in my generation and people in my generation are like rabbits. I went to middle school with a girl that got pregnant. She was 13. There was a girl in my Photojournalism class in HS that got pregnant twice.

At this point I am convinced you are Sylph trolling us. I just needed the world to know that.

I know what "younger" means. I'm "younger," too.

Yes.

I hope that PP continues to encourage their stars to engage people on social media/online networks. It's refreshing as compared to many of the many of the broadcast networks where you get the feeling that what some people say is veiled and cryptic at best.

Then again, McClain has always appeared to be very open and speaks freely. And there is always just as much chance of having someone speak who isn't as thoughtful as Cady, expressing themselves freely but still, even accounting for unintended consequences, it's really cool to see technology allow for this type of intersection of promotion and social engagement.

I know the traditional soaps on broadcast networks are utilizing Twitter & FB but it's great that right from the start of this PP venture they're putting their stars front and center in engaging the viewers. I hope that they also do Google Hangouts, Reddit and all that to extend the shows' brands.

Hopefully, when the first episode launches, AMC/OLTL will be trending somewhere online.

*The one thing is that I hope that I hope AMC/OLTL will contain leaks about major storyline shifts. Smaller, teaser spoilers are fine but not so much that there it kills suspense. Although, not having predictable storylines in the first place would be helpful too. (I'm looking for all of these new ventures to avoid all the mistakes of the broadcast soaps).

More than Stuart's reunion with Marian?wink.png

Yes. That said, Stuart is the one and only return from the dead in that last year that I would have actually had David responsible for considering the significant part we saw [David] play in his murder [drugging Adam].

Speaking of which, I wonder if these shows will have weeks, sometimes months, of spoilers sent out to the soap press. I sure hope not. It's probably a good sign that we know as little as we do right now with the shows coming back in just over a month.

I would give them basic seasonal previews and nothing more.

We know a bit about AMC's plotline and virtually nothing on OLTL. I'm gagging for anything. But I don't blame them.

Got an email from TOLN touting the "Sexy Photo Shoot". There are a couple of links to etonline.com, including old ones like "Ten Top Actors Who Started on Soaps" and "Kelly Ripa's Emotional Reaction to Soap Cancellations".

I hope at some point they improve their e-mail designs, or set up a real newsletter. It's so damn drab looking.

And maybe it's just my gmail but...the words "style" and "sexy" in the press release are linked to random Fox News articles...

I would give them basic seasonal previews and nothing more.

Hoping that's the case. I HATE that we know so much about what's going to happen all the damn time.

I'm glad I wasn't alone.

I remember when someone posted that scene here from YouTube. I was blown away. I would love to see it again.
