LOL, gross. Stick who? David? I would prefer David and Cara to be together as the show starts.

I think if Greenlee ever came back, they could pair her with a returned Trey Kenyon (which would also mean more famiily for David). I could see her in a "cougar"-type relationship with one of the younger characters on the show too. I see a lot more potential with Greenlee than others here do, and plenty of chances for fresh starts while remaining true ot the character. She has a whole sketched background with her family that could still be mined as well. Maybe Mary could have a health scare and Greenlee could have closure on her relationship with her mom.

Yes, David

One story Ive always wanted to see done with Greenlee was have her have a teen daughter that popped with shades of the Erica/Kendall story. That new teen girl, Celia could work in that role. I wouldn't have Celia know Greens is her mother and come looking for revenge but I would have them built up to hate each other, and then have Greenlee enter into a relationship with one of the younger guys that Celia is interested. Sh-t hits the fan when their biological connection is revealed which makes Celia hate her even more and has Greenlee torn over ending her new relationship and forging a new one with her daughter whom despises her. It could be an even bigger twist if Greenlee is unphased by the news and cant work up any maternal feelings towards her bc she's spent the last few months hating her and knowing she's her daughter doesn't automatically change that

Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't they tape weekends on ABC, too?

BTW, I also love that Debbi is front & center in that shot. Since La Lucci is absent, Debbi is the top star now.....maybe she even secretly wishes Susan won't join. tongue.pngbiggrin.png

I think an argument could also be made that the top female on AMC after LaLucci would be Julia Barr, who after Ray MacDonnell, is the senior cast member with 30+ years and she was/is the ying-yang counterpart to Erica.

Cheap, just say no (to incest)! lol

Cheap, you know what? For real, for real, just last night, I was actually thinking they could do that with Kendall and Celia circa the 1996 to 2001 missing years. The irony and potential karma. Kendall would totally like her niece more than her daughter in this scenario, too - shades of Erica with Kendall and Bianca.

I'm not attached to the idea, so I wouldn't be opposed moving it to Greenlee or somebody else.

That said, I personally feel that it is in the best interest of AMC2 to stay far away from the stuff that damaged the show so much in its last years: Rylee, Zendall, David is God/Everybody Hates Hayward, Bianca the sapphic sexless saint, etc...

I agree, but I actually think they could still do Zach and Kendall successfully, unlike Rylee - I think Zendall were very good together at one point. The problem is they stripped away the balance in that relationship after McTavish left. Kendall balls were cut off and attached to Zach to give him two sets. He was over the top in the machismo, and she was well on her way to being a basic heroine. That said, I'm not attached to Zach and Kendall, on the other hand I do think Kendall needs to come back with her set re-attached whoever is playing her and a divorce could have brought that reattachment along.

I see a lot more potential with Greenlee than others here too,

I like the idea of both her and Ryan staying away for at least a year or two, at least. They could do short visits, Ryan in particular. I'm not going to scream "don't come back ever" as it's a new day and if either-or character comes back they could very well be written well.

Re; Ryan versus Greenlee? In the sense of the last decade of AMC, I liked him more than her. I thought she was a shallow vixen more often than not which is as bad as a basic heroine. I always felt Ryan was ruined the most to accomplish Ryan and Greenlee too.

So did they cast Gabby? If so how old is she? Zach's boys? Does Cara have a kid?. I guess that should be put in spoiler tags

I'm determined to keep an open mind about AMC2. So if Ryan, Greenlee and Kendall came back I'd be willing to see what the show had to offer. But I'm glad I don't have to. IMO, all of those characters need a break and so does the audience.

Don't know. My guess: Gabby is with Reese. Ian and Spike will be with Kendall or in hockey camp. Cara's kid? Hmm. Would they kill off another David spawn? Maybe Cara has the kid in hiding.

Ha! I should clarify...the SHOW needs a break from them.

Love your idea for a long-lost daughter for Greenlee, having conflict over the same man, and Greenlee's dilemma over which relationship was more important to her, Cheap21! Would have even more resonance since Greenlee is both getting older now and also can't carry a baby to term. It might be her last chance to have a son or daughter in her life.

Anyway she's not coming back (yet) so people will get their "break," LOL.

That would be a very Agnes Nixon thing to do: Greenlee gave up the kid (in 1998-1999) because she didn't want to be a mother and it was too late to abort. I always got the sense Agnes didn't like the females being apologetic about their rightful choices as women; the right to choose your career over having a family, the right to abort. I think I remember hearing she didn't want the Kendall connection done for Erica because it would "reason" out why Erica was like she was and she just wanted Erica to be who she was because that's who she is. I sided with McTavish on this particular plot point though as it gave Erica more layers and added a whole new level of story to the show. [in line with Agnes: McTavish let Erica hating Kendall, and vice versa, go on for a long time too - and it wasn't an apologetic thing.] There were long periods of times before that where I couldn't stand watching Erica because she could be so shallow.

That said, it would be so easy to cut Greenlee from the canvas permanently, basically no attachments except Jack and that can easily be cut. I do love her mother, Mary - and Greenlee's presence would enable visits. I'm torn.

That's great! I was expecting to hear that Michael Fairman did interviews, and I'm looking forward to reading them.

Yeah, Debbi is LEFT of center. Pine Charles, don't make me Erica Kane slap you. laugh.png

LOL. Oh, OK. I guess all the vodka is skewing my vision.

I think this is on purpose. Position Julia Barr and Debbi as the new central women to AMC, and watch La Lucci get so jealous that she can't help but not agree to return to the show :P
