GH: Casting call

Khan, none of us are fortunate enough for it to be Starr. Even though Starr needed to be recast years ago on OLTL.

As for Kristina do they really care enough to recast her? They haven't had any interest writing for her since they brought her back aside from ushering on Trey and being a plot point.

Watch it just be casting some random chick. When this show really needed men.

Yeah. It's funny when you think about this: Y&R has really added nothing but men/cut women (whether the roles were pointless or not), while GH keeps adding women of a certain age and not many viable man who isn't locked into a supercouple. Gee, priorities, huh Jill?

Anyway ... my first thought was Kristina recast. My first HOPE was a Starr recast LOL.

It could also be Molly. Maybe they're aging her?

I don't see them aging her. They seem satisfied with the actress they have and besides what would be the point? A SORASED Molly would be redundant with Kristina around as they'd fulfill similar roles in Alexis and Sam's lives. I think Alexis would become more irrelevant without a teen daughter for her to mother as Molly seems to be the source of most of the material she's been given the last few months. I really won't think a college aged Molly would add much at the moment especially when they are barely going anything with Kristina at this age

I just had a thought. Maybe Kate had twins and forgot. Trey's death causes Connie to finally start giving a damn and sets out to search for the one remaining kid she has left

Molly is a teen she's like 16. If they aged her up she would be an adult. Which wouldn't make much of a difference at this point since they've basically written Molly as a know it all who thinks she's older than she is since soras.

What this show really needs is some new men.

Her portrayer is half hispanic and Kristina is a partially hispanic character and actually prior to soras she was played by a young actress who was also half hispanic.

Hispanic has nothing to do with looks. It is a culture, not a race...people can be white and hispanic, black and hispanic, Asian and hispanic...you get my drift.

I know about hispanics. Have a few hispanic family members. . However on the show it was noted that Sabrina's last name is Santiago and she obviously has dark hair, dark eyes and tan skin. While Serena was blond haired, blue eyed, and pale skinned. On what soap did a character ever go from looking like this

To looking like this?

Blair was originally conceived to be a Southern blonde. That's the only reason it happened after Mia left.

Sydney Penny was a Meg temp cast on SuBe and she most definetly did not look like a white girl from Kansas

That's a temp though. Temps usuallly don't look like the actor they're taking over for.

This chick is on contract.

I would say most temp-casts do resemble the actor they are replacing. Just go to the Temp Cast thread to find tons of examples. Even if they are different, they generally dont go with someone that cant pass for the same race, but it has happened.

As far as contract goes, you want an example? Fine. How about Joe on Port Charles. Guy went from prominetly being Irish Catholic to being played by a Mexican! And he looked every bit his ethnicity. The recast was very jarring

Otherwise, you might have Debbi Morgan temping for Katherine Kelly Lang. Or vice versa. ;)

+1 Those tweets look like a desperate attempt to "call it first" with zero concrete information.

His newsletter really must be worth paying $5 a month for... (and people bitch about the thought of paying similarly for AMC/OLTL online?)
