HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I assume that it's going to be like job sharing or soap "summer camp" where an AMC actor gets to use the dressing room for five weeks then they either have to clear out or put their stuff away in a "locker" while the OLTL actor gets to use it then vice versa. That could make for interesting stories.

Darnell Williams: "Who's bong is this?"

Vincent Irizarry: "I think it's Howarth's. Don't bitch. You should see the porn Ver Dorn left behind."

laugh.png So wrong, but so funny.

A lot of AMC actors shared dressing rooms. Susan Lucci and Francis Heflin shared a dressing room until the mid-80s, despite Susan's fame and reportedly high salary. It will be interesting to hear about the details once everyone starts shooting.

Paos Revolution (via Facebook): We are happy to confirm MEK's comment he made about Ray MacDonnell in a recent interview- he will indeed be stopping by AMC as our lovable Dr. Joe Martin.

Our speculation is correct: Jordan Lane Price IS playing Miranda Montgomery:

Eden Riegel@edenriegel

So I guess I better follow my... ahem... daughter: @JordanLanePrice Gabby, you're still to young for twitter. I hope.

I can't wait to see the Kane family reunion!

LOL at the Gabby comment!

Just wow. I can't wait to see the Kane's either! :D

So Ray is guest starring only? Too bad

I bet he will recur. Lee Merriwheter too

‎"I don't understand why anyone would want to boycott All My Children after all the hard work it took to get the shows back in production. Tune in and support the show, even if your favorites aren't on in the beginning. Eventually when things get up and running, they'll be able to get everyone back under the same roof." - Walt Willey

"Think of it this way: If you don't tune in and support All My Children, the show will not succeed, and your favorite performer will never be asked to return, because there won't be a show to return to." -Dan Kroll

Ray MacDonnell only guesting, could be by his choice, or PP like it was said probably just wants to focus on the younger characters(I hope not)

It's not surprising about Ray. He's 84 and I think wants to be mainly retired. I would like to see more of Lee as Ruth, though. She still does some traveling around for cons and such.

How old is Jordan Lane Price? I looked at her IMDb page and no birth date is given. She looks the same age as Eden in the Twitter pic. LOL

Aww. Jill is so cute showing off the wardrobe. It's gotta be nice to have a brand new studio also. Her happiness is awesome.

I also love that so many familiar crew members returned. I was hoping they'd get as many back as they could.

It's really really nice to see a company that respects and wants the soaps around. It really is. Bad mistakes aside, LOL, and future mistakes aside.
