I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

PP cant force the actors to do OLTL, they are under contract at ABC. However they have the legal right to take Starr, John & Todd back to OLTL, recast them even if necessary.

That is the legal . Its what ABC & PP agreed to

They're not continuing to work at GH during the course of an ongoing legal matter with the two shows.

That would be standard practice anywhere, but because we're dealing with the online "soap press" it is being framed as a histrionic Scopes monkey trial.

I am almost positive they will not recast Todd and probably not John or Starr. I think that's just blowing smoke. There have been many stupid moves by PP, but recasting all of them would be suicidal.

Yeah I don't think they want him as Caleb but that's probably what they're trying to figure out right now. The two didn't reach an agreement so perhaps unless one side gives in a bit, ABC won't know what course to take so they're not going to go so far as to create new roles for the actors unless it's 100% necessary and nothing about this is 100% yet.

after watching today's GH, I do not see why they are not making Michael Easton Caleb?

It's been amazing to watch how Easton's effort to try and keep some of his fans from wasting their time has turned into The War of the Worlds. He really should've just let them show up and met them in the parking lot.

I think both ME & KA seem open to recuring on OLTL if they can stay on GH by their tweets/FB msgs. Havent heard from RH. Hope ABC & PP can reach an agreement that benefits all.

Although im uneasy about this #PP #ABC #OLTL #GH mess with Starr, John & Starr, I am still supporting the continuations of #OLTL & #AMC. I want the whole genre to succeed & grow, I also want AMC & OLTL to be a success not just for its loyal fans but also for their casts & crews.

I think the shows are best served keeping John and Starr on GH full-time. Visits, fine, but let them be. I can't really handle John in Llanview at all, except for visits.

Todd I am more torn on. I think he works very well on GH, and I wish he could divide his time between them - and who knows, he might be able to with that shooting schedule - but in the end if it's Sophie's Choice he belongs on OLTL. The question is whether Roger Howarth will bother, and I couldn't blame him if he didn't given this company's past history.

I think GH keeping RH and KA but as different characters is the dumbest idea of all.

That will not happen. I'd stake my life on it.

Of course, I also staked my life on OLTL never doing a "tale of two Todds," so.
