HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

That's what I was saying with Khan. There's a real tension between keeping the shows recognizable vs. making them fresh. We see people who swear up and down that Character X isn't needed then turn around and freak out at the mere thought of recasting Character Y and every new bit of information seems to rachet up the panic. At this point, I'd be perfectly fine if PP didn't release any more info.

There are plenty of actors who I'd like to see again **coughCorneilusSmithcough** but at the same time I don't and won't blame any of them one bit for passing on this and in that case, bring on the recast.

AJ and Miranda would both be 9 in real time and the actors who last played them were a year or two older already so aging them to 14 isn't that big of a deal. High school just feels so drastic since the characters were nothing but props previously. It's not like they had mini stories of their own like Emma did with Annie or like Matthew did on OLTL. Maybe Agnes is of the mindset that they better start showing the new generation in case this fails and this is their one chance to do so. She'd want to have the legacy continue in our heads with the new generation.

In any case, I hope they cast actors that are close to age 14 and aren't really 18 year olds masquerading.

14 or 15 is not a big deal, provided they hire kids who are either as young as Hayley Pullos (Molly) and that one good Morgan on GH - the one who was begging for his job back - or, alternately, hire young people who visually skew younger onscreen. A good example is Tequan Richmond as T.J., or even the new kid playing Rafe, who barely looks like he can shave.

It's not confirmed. We're going off the fact that the side notes the characters were there when the other was born, etc. Sides can be misleading but they can also sometimes be accurate. Besides that birth notice, I have to say the characters IMO sound like what I'd expect of one of Kendall's sons (I'd expect them to be nicer than a Chandler) and one of Tad's daughters (I'd expect them to be more plain than a Kane).

Confirmation? Why wait for that? LOL!

Honestly, one of my issues with AMC at the end was that it was filled with children. AJ, Miranda, Gabby, Jenny, Kathy, Spike, Ian, Emma, Lucy, etc... I could be quite happy not seeing most of those kids again, SORASed or not. (Although the baby who played Lucy was a-dor-able.)

Without knowing the entire cast list, contract and recurring, I wouldn't be at all surprised if JR, Jamie, Pete and Colby are recast to be the same age (even when Colby would be 7 to 10 years younger than the rest), and that if Spike, Ian, Kathy, Jenny, AJ, Miranda, Gabrielle, Emma and Lucy are a part of this re-boot all will be aged - they are more likely to create tweens and teens than leave any of them behind as toddlers.

Yes. See? It's impossible to even keep track of all the plot point spawn.

Most of these kids were unnecessary. They were a sad result of the fact that soaps became consumed by baby rabies. It's one of my most fervent hopes that these new versions don't fall prey to the same thing.
