Members Jonathan
And Lorenzo, Hayley and Mateo's son, also morphed into Damon. I remember a scene where Damon claimed that a Hispanic kid stole something from the mansion. The show was messy at this point.
Members Dee41
How is Alison Goodman as a casting director? Is she prone to hiring hair models or she does bring people on who can actually act?
Members ~bl~
She was the associate casting director at GL in the end of days. So I don't think we have that clear of a read on her skills.

Members EricMontreal22
Oh RIGHT!! A hispanic kid was actually doing something weird like breaking into people's houses and leaving that video of the Pine Valley Anniversary (AKA AMC's 40th anniversary) and I think Hayley even planted a story seed by saying how he had been acting up and was away at boarding school or something... I account a lot of that due to the fact that it sounds like Pratt was fired pretty quickly and Broderick and crew came in to try to repair the show as fast as possible, and things just kinda got dropped--but that could just be me being generous. Members Jonathan
I'm pretty sure you're correct.
Members EricMontreal22
While it's not related to writing, I'm sure between rushing to do the anniversary ep, shaping things up AND doing the move (which may have even played a part in how they cast new characters) wasn't exactly a fun time for the show. Members Marco Dane
Just out of random curiosity will show have to restart the number of years they been on or will it continue with 40+ years LOL. NyQuil talking
Members Vee
IIRC, that whole 'Miguel Chandler' bullshit was Broderick. I always thought it was utter, tired nonsense to do not only yet another 'secret kid' plot for Adam, but a 'secret Latino kid' no less. I do remember they were going to bring in Lorenzo as well. Yet both dried up and blew away, presumably because she left and Kreizman (and Swajeski?) arrived.
Webmaster Errol Posted January 25, 2013 Webmaster Share Posted January 25, 2013 The shows will re-start at years 41 and 43 despite being off the air for over a year. They will not suddenly age up/down. More precisely, AMC will be entering season 42, while OLTL will be entering season 44, even though technically this year would have marked AMC's 43rd year and OLTL's 45th year. Members LeClerc
It was actually Max, not Lorenzo, who was behind the break-ins. The audition script had Colby and Max at the police station after Max had been arrested for the break and enters and Colby was trying to assure him that he would be OK because he's a Chandler, but he pointed out that he was not related to the Chandlers by blood. At the time ABC was mandating a young latino male be added to the canvas. It appears that under Pratt it was going to be Max but then Broderick ditched that idea in favor of Miguel (and consequently Damon, who had been a red herring, suddenly admitted that he had in fact been behind the B&Es... even though at point we had even seen Damon see the real thief, so it made no sense). And then the Miguel idea got axed as well for whatever reason. As has been stated the whole thing was a mess.
Members Vee
You already out there in Connecticut? I'm just trying to not go outside in New York. It's like the Fortress of Solitude. If so, now what are your odds on this thing happening?
Members EricMontreal22
Right, I remember that now. Ah we could have had the return of the beloved "Maps"! GL took a nearly year break on the radio--yet P&G never count that
Members LeClerc
Lol Gotta give McTavish some credit for coming up with something different than the over-used "So-and-so is making cookies. Why don't you go help?" excuse to get the kid off-screen. "Hey Max why don't you go and play with this map?"
Webmaster Errol Posted January 25, 2013 Webmaster Share Posted January 25, 2013 No. Not in CT. I'm in NY though. My odds on this happening is now at 90%.
