I have a family member who does a little acting on the side, so I'm considering a membership for them, and if that were the case, I would probably sign them up for actors access and showfax, but it is unclear if the $68 gets you both sites, or if there is an additional charge. I contacted the site.

I say just buy the side. My actors access membership/online resume is free. I only have to pay $2 when I submit for a project. If you buy a Showfax membership, your actors access submissions are free. I think it's cheaper to just pay when a project that suits you comes up. I was auditioning for a show a few years ago and I had very little info about the project. I went on Showfax and bought all the sides of the other characters they had already cast. That was helpful. I didn't get the part and the pilot bombed anyway, but...
