EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

The somewhat reliable gossip out there is her co-HW (or maybe just associate HW) is and was--at AMC during much of the 90s, etc. I think the pair *could* work out.

I loved Ryan and Kendall prior to McTavish. Much less so when she came back.

I know there are ways around it--there's just never been anything on Hulu before that's made me bother (and I'm fairly tech-in-competent), so I may be asking you

I bet any money the episodes will end up on a YouTube channel within hours of airing on Hulu.

They could even use youtube--although that can be country blocked as well. For this to succeed, I suspect on some level they'll try to avoid fans uploading it publicly to youtube after the fact (it's less of an issue with the network soaps where, since they only air once, youtube uploads kinda just help them advertise the show).

I never had a problem with Cameron. He seemed like a great guy and a great ambassador for the show. I just thought they really misused Ryan in the later years.

IMHO he works better as a supporting character.

I think McTrash destroyed them as an FU to Frons who I've always thought basically forced her to do Rylee when she wanted R/K

I dunno, one issue I have with McT is that she seems all to willing to do what someone above her (JFP as EP, Frons) suggests. I hated Zendall by the end, but much to my surprise when they were first paired up (first as a sorta staged romance), by McT I found them charming and fun. But you may have a point about Rylee. She teased some other pairings that were more interesting--like the uber quick Josh/Greenlee thing and then seemed to drop them.

All I can say is, I wish Marlene McPherson (and whoever ends up working alongside her) the best of luck. Because I don't have much confidence in Prospect Park, I'm afraid they're going to need all the luck in the world.

So they want edgy but hire MMcP for AMC who wouldn't know edgy if it smacked her in the face

Its becoming quite clear to me why, in most cases, someone being prosecuted for a crime can't have past criminal behaviour used against them. Too bad soap writers weren't afforded the same courtesy

Neither do I, really... but I will cross my fingers for them. They could be riding the next wave of media innovation... or they could be fooling themselves.

We'll see. I think we need to applaud them for giving it the college try (no matter how sloppy their handling of said college try has and continues to be)....
