HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: PP was better off forgetting this reboot business and offering development deals last year to Frankie and Ronnie. Disagree and cite "brand familiarity" all you want, but at least we wouldn't keep going in circles over all these casting and story spumors.

Oh, marceline, you know as well as any of us that OLTL is still casting at least several people of color and we've seen that with our own eyes. It's not like there were a ton of them on contract at the end, either. And if Shaun was still on contract you'd be dogging that too.

Angie and Jesse are a different story. OLTL did not have that kind of representation at the end, unfortunately, but for AMC they're big gets. OLTL has to start from a different position with characters like Destiny or the new guy, or bring back people like the Gannons.

That's if this doesn't all fall apart now, of course. Usually in our story this is the point where PP disappears for two months and then announces failure to be blamed on other parties.

When we get the flurry of AMC casting news I am sure that will be the topic of discussion.

Right now its advantage OLTL. AMC looks very crappy as of now.

I want RJ back on OLTL.

Him and his awesome dreadlocks.

I do too. I'm not holding my breath, but you never know. Hank might still be in the attic at the Buchanan mansion, too.

Hank would be nice to see too.

I always thought it was so funny that Nora married him and then Bo. Because, it made her name rhyme.

Nora Hanen Gannon Buchanan. LMAO.
