HOLIDAY MIRACLE: Prospect Park Back On Track To Revive AMC and OLTL

  • Member

WTF!!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Here is a great holiday gift for soap fans: I’ve learned that Prospect Park has revived its plan to continue cancelled ABC daytime dramas All My Children and One Life To Live online. I hear the company behind USA hit Royal Pains has inked deals with SAG-AFTRA and DGA for the soaps’ production, eyed to begin in the first quarter of 2013.

Why is it taking longer for AMC to find writers? I feel like they are going to have AMC make some grand entrance or something.

I Bet Marlene is CO-HW and is writing with Agnes

It appears that finding out who is writing for AMC is going to require the soap media to dig around and actually ask. And I don't have much faith in that happening since 1. it's AMC and 2. the only thing that matters to them these days is "Oh my god what about Todd, Starr and John McBain!? If they leave GH it's DOOMED because they SAVED it!"

But if Marlene McPherson is one half of the team then the co-HW is probably Darrell Ray Thomas or Victor Gialanella or some awful choice like that.

Another thing that concerns me is PP doesn't appear to have a legit, official press department. Once again, all the 'casting announcements' are either leaks to websites or trades or coming from the hopeful actors themselves.

This crossed my mind as well.

The lack of AMC news is probably pending a firm HW announcement. Agnes is not writing, that is just insane to expect of an 85 year old. She mau really be consulting, but she is not HW. I also feel most of this casting means nothing since they share the same casting director. Its just a matter of who is announced first. Its obvious they're working behind the scenes on both. I wonder how big writing teams will be. Honestly don't need more than 3-4 writers for each show, including HWs.

If there's going to be a firm HW announcement it's likely going to have to come from the HWs themselves, not PP. We only know about SBH and TR because SBH put the news out herself.

Since Marlene McPherson stopped her online presence after demonstrating what a petty lunatic she is this might remain unknown for a while.

Just verified with Robert S. Woods that the rumor regarding his return as Bo Buchanan in the new One Life to Live is legit!
