If he'd bothered to be halfway interesting on the show, I might be inclined to want him to stay. But he acted as if Y&R was some form of community service for him, so he can stay gone. Now why would I do a thing like that? the man was so uncharismatic, to me, he was like a younger Lurch (from the Addams Family). he can stay away permanently and if they ever do decide to resurrect the character, they can bring back Nina, recast her firstborn with an entirely different name and pretend that Branson's version never existed or that he was a fake sent as a form of revenge from Rose DeVille.
