Yeah he did the same thing with John/Liam so that they wouldnt look like losers for only accepting after they find out theyre the bio dads

Then John repeatedly dumps his kid and has zero regret. At least that isn't likely to happen with Jason, since Burton is leaving soon.

John is a PoS bc he is doing NOTHING to get back in his son's life. Meeting with Alexis once a month isnt effort in my book. I have no idea why he is even still in Port Charles instead of back in Llanview. Its been what 2-3 months, he still never fixxed his passport issue to go to London to see Liam. He's not even trying! He is a dead beat in my eyes. He's not even working. He's a big fat loser

They clearly never wanted John to be a father, they just wanted paternity drama. That's fine. Some parents reject their kids. It happens every day. Write a story about how John does not want a child, can't get past all the lies with Natalie, and wishes her well. Instead, they want him to be free of the kid yet they also want us to see him as hard done by.

Because he KISSED Sam lol.... I dont know why FV thinks people want him on this show so damn bad even with SB leaving he isnt need as a love interest for Sam. I dont think she even needs one for awhile.

IA. Id rather she just focus on being a mother and the trials and tribulations that go along with that. Sam can go on the backburner for the remainer of the year and play a supporting role to her family

I have never seen Lulu look more amazing than she did in the 10/9 episode. FLAWLESS! Loved her scenes with Luke.

I love the Actress playing Ellie. I'm really enjoying her & Spinelli. They go together like peanut butter & jelly.

Wasn't impressed with the story for Duke. I at least found Anna more tolerable w/him than she is with Luke. Those two just made me want to puke.

Glad we got a break from Connie. F that bitch for what she's doing to Johnny. I wish they'd bring back his Mommy

That’s nice. MVJ was one of the very few scriptwriters that Geary respected. She wrote the rape confession monologue that Luke had with Lucky and it was one of the rare times that Geary didn’t change a word and acted out what was on the page.

This is sad, and I will choose to remember Geary for the electrifying performer he could be instead of what he purposely turned Luke into in his latter years on the show.
That said, and I know he was getting older, but he did often look quite frail whenever I saw recent pics of him with his husband. Whatever it was, I hope he went peacefully.

RIP: In Memoriam Thread

Well this is turning out to be quite the banner week. First the voice of Sheen from Jimmy Neutron dies along with the voice of Doug Dimmedome from "Fairly Oddparents" and now Rob Reiner and Anthony Geary. People cheering over Rob Reiner dying are so horribly disgusting it pisses me off. And I really hope that whoever killed Rob and his wife gets the maximum penalty possible.

My God. To turn on my desktop and read that Rob Reiner (and his wife) and Tony Geary have both passed away. It's just so much to take in on a Monday morning that I'm struggling to find the right words. I pray for peace for all their loved ones, and for all of us who have enjoyed their work over the years.

“I look over and I see this girl, and ‘Whoo!’ I was attracted immediately,” he told The New York Times in 1989, recalling the pair’s meeting.
A few months later, the photographer and director married — and their relationship inspired Mr. Reiner to change the ending of his most famous movie. “Originally, Harry and Sally didn’t get together,” he told the Guardian in 2018. “But then I met Michele and I thought: ‘OK, I see how this works.’” Harry and Sally had to marry each other, too.

I think my own disconnect is that while Tony could seem frail in recent years, Luke never was. Which reminded me of an interview before he retired where Geary admitted to being on set waiting to film and he told Jane that he was so bored. And she told him don’t worry, Luke isn’t. Which is probably one of the few insightful notes he got in later years as an actor.
I had that same disconnect with Jackie Zeman when she passed. Both she and Bobbie always had a vitality to them. Bobbie’s early dichotomies being both bubbly and shrewd, hopeful and cynical. Hard to believe they are both gone.

Omg that's a shocker. What a beautiful and thorough article in the Hollywood Reporter. So many details I never knew.

Story wise I'd like it if we learned Luke really died saving women from being trafficked after faking his death on the train in 2022, taking over Bobbie's work. a sort of redemption for what Luke was.
